Rockstar Games is offering up to GTA$3 million to qualified Grand Theft Auto Online players, with a deadline of June 12.
Back in March, Rockstar Games gave qualified Grand Theft Auto Online players up to GTA$3 million to come back and play the game again.
This was part of the studio's efforts to drum up interest for Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced, the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V Expanded and Enhanced. Nearly two months later, Rockstar has re-introduced the offer, giving it a hard deadline of June 12 - just about a month out from now.
So if you're looking forward to receiving free in-game money and become up to GTA$3 million richer in Los Santos, you'd best get moving. Just to remind you, Rockstar will need you to "work" to get the GTA$3 million freebie (so is it even free?). While you will receive GTA$1 million just for returning, you'll have to "earn" the remaining GTA$1,500,000 and GTA$500,000 by buying a Shark Card and subscribing to GTA+. So yeah, definitely not free in any sense.
Since launching the latest version of Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar has had quite the eventful past couple of months. After confirming the delay of Grand Theft Auto 6 to May 26, 2026, the studio dropped a second trailer, much to the surprise of many.
A week later, the second GTA 6 trailer is still being talked about, setting new records, and basically convincing everyone to get a PlayStation 5 or a PlayStation 5 Pro to avoid having to pay more once Sony starts implementing tariff-influenced price hikes.
Given how long it took the rest of the world to move on from the first GTA 6 trailer, don't be surprised if GTA 6 continues to dominate conversations for the foreseeable future. As for GTA V and GTA Online, Rockstar has yet to forget Los Santos and San Andreas.
Fans can still look forward to the game getting updates for the foreseeable future, as confirmed by Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick. If anything, GTA Online should get a more proper send-off later this year now that GTA 6 has been delayed to May 2026.
If we're lucky, we might get the long-rumored Michael De Santa DLC for GTA Online. After all, his boat was just spotted in Vice City, among other things. Take-Two is expected to reveal more about its plans for the Grand Theft Auto franchise at its next earnings call on Thursday, May 15.
