Write The Truth
GTA BOOM endeavours to seek the truth on all topics we cover and report with sincerity and fairness. All the information that we use is verified and when possible, original sources are used.
We strive to never distort the truth or misrepresent facts, either by mistake or by intention, through the omission of context or facts. Should this ever occur despite our best efforts, immediate steps will be taken to correct these mistakes and readers will be expressly notified.
Writers may include personal commentary and opinions and these instances will be noted.
Do No Harm
GTA BOOM writes for all and seeks to treat all readers with respect, minimizing any potential harm that may be inadvertently done by our writing, but without compromising the truth in the process. We strive to balance conveying the facts and context of the topics we cover against the discomfort or offence it may cause to some readers.
We consider the long-term implications of our content of utmost importance and make editorial decisions with this in mind. Our goal is to be up to date in our reporting, without omitting any key facts or context. In certain contexts, such as in opinion articles or reviews, the author may express personal views that do not reflect the overall views of GTA BOOM.
We make an effort to issue corrections to published content if any errors are found. Our aims are to publish accurate, truthful and valuable content – topics that are inappropriate or sensationalised will be avoided no matter how popular.
Updating Articles
We strive to ensure that all content on GTA BOOM is up to date with the most recent facts and news. Our team determines whether changed or updated information should be addressed by amending existing content or posting new content with the correction, depending on which option best reflects the facts within the context of the story.
For qualitative edits that only affect grammar or formatting, or other forms of edits that do not alter the content of a published piece, notices will not be added. If the content of a post is altered with new information, this will be expressly noted in the post.
Updated articles where the original content was not altered, only added to, will have clear indications of where the original content ends and the additional updates begin.
Conflicts of Interest
Our team is expected to avoid all conflicts of interest and in the event of any personal relationships that may influence coverage of certain topics, to avoid said topics. This applies to professional relationships as well. We may allow authors to continue reporting on a topic if the conflict of interest is minor, and properly disclosed, on a case by case basis.
We Are GTA Fans
At GTA BOOM, we are passionate fans of the Grand Theft Auto series. Our staff is composed of dedicated gamers who have spent countless hours exploring the virtual worlds created by Rockstar Games. Despite our commitment to journalistic integrity and unbiased reporting, we acknowledge that our love for the franchise may occasionally shine through in our articles.
As fans, we understand the excitement and anticipation that comes with each new release, as well as the desire to uncover every secret and easter egg hidden within the games. We strive to channel this enthusiasm into providing comprehensive coverage and insightful analysis for our readers.
However, we also recognize the importance of maintaining a critical eye and offering objective opinions when necessary. Our fandom does not preclude us from addressing any shortcomings or controversies surrounding the series. Ultimately, our goal is to celebrate the GTA games while fostering a community of like-minded fans who can engage in meaningful discussions and share their own experiences with the franchise.
How We Research, Verify and Publish GTA Guides
GTA BOOM has covered Grand Theft Auto since 2012. During that time, our guides have grown from short written walkthroughs into detailed resources that may include original gameplay captures, annotated screenshots, video and interactive tools. The format varies by subject, but the purpose remains the same: to give players clear, useful instructions grounded in evidence.
We call our guide process RVP: Research, Verify and Publish.
Research
We begin with the problem a player is trying to solve. That may be completing a mission, finding a collectible, understanding a prerequisite, comparing payouts or determining whether a method still works after a game update.
Our research can include playing the relevant content, reviewing official Rockstar Games announcements and patch notes, checking previous versions of our guide, and examining questions raised by the GTA community. We distinguish confirmed facts from our own observations, recommendations and information that has not yet been independently testable.
We also identify relevant conditions such as the game edition, platform, prerequisites and update version. A method that works in GTA Online on one platform or game version may not behave identically elsewhere.
Verify
For most GTA Online walkthroughs and strategy guides where direct testing is possible, Hassan Sajid, our Senior Guide Writer and Video Producer, works through and records the relevant steps in-game. When another team member performs the testing, the same evidence standard applies. We record the platform, prerequisites, result and testing date when those details materially affect the advice.
Fragile or easily misunderstood steps are repeated where practical. Claims affected by an update are cross-checked against official information and then tested again when we have access to the relevant content.
We only describe a method or guide as "tested" when a team member actually performed that test. If direct testing is not possible, we identify the basis of the information instead of presenting it as first-hand experience.
External facts and claims are attributed to their original source wherever possible.
Publish
The finished guide is organized around the steps a player needs to take, without padding the article simply to make it longer. Screenshots, video and diagrams are included when they make an instruction, location or result easier to understand.
Original screenshots and gameplay footage are captured by our team. Official or third-party media is not presented as our own gameplay.
Before publication, an editor checks that the guide answers the stated question, includes necessary prerequisites, explains material platform or version differences, and does not describe untested information as verified.
After publication
Publication is not the end of the process. GTA Online updates, game patches and newly discovered methods can change how a guide works. When a material change is identified, we update the instructions and display the article's latest update date. Where the update was made by a different named editor, that person may also be shown.
A new update date does not automatically mean every step was replayed. When a guide has been fully retested, we may say so explicitly and identify the relevant platform or version. Minor copy, formatting or link changes should not be presented as new first-hand testing.
If we discover an error, we correct it promptly in accordance with our updating and corrections policy.
