San Andreas Mercenaries

San Andreas Mercenaries adds six Project Overthrow story missions and three repeatable LSA Operations to GTA Online. Both are launched from the Mammoth Avenger's Operations Terminal as part of Charlie Reed's campaign against Merryweather Security. ^{1 2}

The update launched on June 13, 2023. A Mammoth Avenger and its Operations Terminal are required to access the missions.

Starting the San Andreas Mercenaries DLC

Charlie Reed calls after you enter GTA Online. His orange C marker then appears at Los Santos International Airport, where you can meet him and begin setting up the Los Santos Angels.

If Charlie's call does not arrive, travel to the C marker and enter the highlighted area outside the hangar. The marker is white before the call and yellow afterward.

You need a Mammoth Avenger fitted with the Operations Terminal before you can launch the missions. The Avenger's base price is GTA$3,450,000, while the Operations Terminal costs GTA$1,450,000. If you already own the Avenger from the Doomsday Heist, only the Terminal upgrade is required.

A Facility or Hangar is no longer required to own and operate an Avenger. ²

Purchase the Operations Terminal while buying or renovating the Avenger on Warstock Cache & Carry. Hangar owners can also buy it from Charlie on the Hangar floor. ¹

Operations Terminal

The Terminal is inside the Avenger's hold. Request the Avenger through Interaction Menu > Services > Avenger, enter the hold and use the Terminal to choose Project Overthrow or LSA Operations. LSA Operations can also be launched by calling Charlie after the Terminal has been installed. ¹

The Operations Terminal separates the update's missions into the six-part Project Overthrow storyline and three repeatable LSA Operations.

Project Overthrow

Project Overthrow is a six-mission storyline built around the Los Santos Angels' campaign against Merryweather Security in and around Los Santos. The missions support one to four players and can be completed in public or invite-only sessions. ^{1 2}

Important Avenger Upgrades

The Missile Lock-On Jammer and Pilot-Operated Missiles are optional, but they make the Avenger-heavy sections easier.

Both upgrades are available from the Charlie Upgrades category in an owned Hangar with the Workshop upgrade. ²

LSA Operations

LSA Operations are repeatable Freemode contracts similar to Security Contracts. Three operations appear on the Terminal, each with a Professional or Specialist difficulty and a rotating optional objective. They can be launched in public or invite-only sessions, or by calling Charlie from the phone. ^{1 2}

The optional objective adds GTA$15,000 to the mission payout.

After completing an LSA Operation, you must wait 20 minutes before starting another. Professional operations pay GTA$45,000 to GTA$55,000, while Specialist operations pay GTA$60,000 to GTA$70,000.

Associates receive GTA$30,000 regardless of difficulty. Everyone who completes the optional objective receives its GTA$15,000 bonus.

Each operation rotates among three possible bonus objectives:

• Direct Action
  • Plant tracking devices on the crates.
  • Eliminate the armored gunner.
  • Steal and deliver the F-160 Raiju.

• Surgical Strike
  • Photograph the blueprints.
  • Steal a Merryweather outfit.
  • Steal the mysterious artifact.

• Whistleblower
  • Recover the case file.
  • Destroy the backup generator.
  • Upload a virus to the mainframe.

Completing each LSA Operation for the first time unlocks its corresponding outfit:

• The Infiltrator: Direct Action
• Merryweather Outfit: Surgical Strike
• The Shade Outfit: Whistleblower

LSA Operations are the update's repeatable alternative to the six-mission Project Overthrow campaign.

Project Overthrow and LSA Operations are the two main sources of income in San Andreas Mercenaries.

Project Overthrow Payouts

Project Overthrow payouts scale with the selected difficulty. The San Andreas Mercenaries payouts guide lists the amount for every mission on Easy, Normal and Hard.

LSA Operations Payouts

• Professional: GTA$45,000 to GTA$55,000
• Specialist: GTA$60,000 to GTA$70,000
• Optional objective: GTA$15,000
• Associate payout: GTA$30,000
• Cooldown: 20 minutes after completion
• First-time rewards: The Infiltrator, Merryweather Outfit and The Shade Outfit
