Money Fronts

Money Fronts is a major content update for Grand Theft Auto Online, released on June 17, 2025. It allows players to hide criminal operations behind legitimate businesses, beginning with a purchasable car wash that fronts money laundering operations in Los Santos. The network can expand to Higgins Helitours and Smoke on the Water. ^{1 2}

Overview / Description

Money Fronts extends the business-management systems introduced by updates such as Further Adventures in Finance and Felony. Players begin by purchasing the Hands On Car Wash in Strawberry, then use legitimate work and criminal operations to manage Heat and generate income. Rockstar Games announced the summer 2025 update on June 11 and released it six days later across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. ^{1 2}

New Content

New Features / Systems

The update's central system links three business fronts to a shared laundering operation. Money Laundering Missions and Mr. Faber Work increase Heat at the business that launched them; completing legitimate work reduces that Heat so passive income can continue. Players can start the criminal missions from a front's computer or by calling Raf. ³

Properties

Hands On Car Wash is the required first purchase and the central hub of the operation. Owners can then add Higgins Helitours and Smoke on the Water. The Car Wash boosts Counterfeit Cash Factory sales, Higgins Helitours boosts Air Freight Cargo, and Smoke on the Water boosts Weed Farm sales. ^{2 3}

Money Fronts combines legal jobs, criminal operations, contact missions, passive income and two Freemode activities. The sections below identify what each activity does; the Money Fronts guide owns the current payout and strategy details.

Legal Work

Legal jobs reduce Heat at the business where they are completed. ³

• Hands On Car Wash: Collect a customer's vehicle, clean it and return it without unnecessary damage.
• Higgins Helitours: Fly paying passengers around Los Santos on a sightseeing tour.
• Smoke on the Water: Deliver the dispensary's products to customers.

Money Laundering Missions

Each front has its own criminal operations, launched from the property's computer or by calling Raf. ^{2 3}

• Hands On Car Wash: Operations include stealing vehicles and moving the resulting cash back to the Car Wash.
• Higgins Helitours: Missions use helicopters and the business's tourism cover for theft, protection and smuggling work.
• Smoke on the Water: Operations target rival drug businesses and supplies.

Mr. Faber Work (Contact Missions)

Mr. Faber Work follows jobs arranged for Mr. Faber and his clients. These missions can be launched from the laptop inside any of the three fronts and increase Heat at the business used to start them. ³

Business Safe Income

The Car Wash safe accumulates passive income over time. Its earnings increase as the player adds different businesses, including properties introduced before Money Fronts. ³

Red Harvest Daily Collectible

Owning Smoke on the Water adds a daily Red Harvest weed package collectible that awards GTA$ and RP. The Red Harvest section of the Money Fronts guide contains the current locations and reward breakdown. ³

QuickiePharm

QuickiePharm is a repeatable medical-courier job in Los Santos. It cannot be started while the player belongs to an Organization or Motorcycle Club. ³

Trivia

The Money Fronts update was leaked extensively ahead of its official launch. The leaks occurred after Rockstar Games made the update available for pre-download over the weekend prior to its release. Hackers using jailbroken PlayStation 5 consoles were able to access the update's files, leading to widespread spoilers on social media.

Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, took action against the leaks, reportedly issuing a ban to at least one individual who was streaming the unreleased content online. The strategy of allowing players to pre-download major updates was not new for Rockstar, having been previously used for updates such as San Andreas Mercenaries, The Chop Shop, and Bottom Dollar Bounties
