The Money Fronts update is a major content update for Grand Theft Auto Online, released on June 17, 2025. The update's main theme is allowing players to hide their criminal activities behind legitimate businesses, introducing a new car wash property that functions as a front for money laundering operations in Los Santos.
The Money Fronts update expands the business management gameplay loop in GTA Online, building on the foundation of previous updates like Further Adventures in Finance and Felony. The core concept allows players to purchase and operate a seemingly legitimate car wash business.
This enterprise serves as a front to launder illicit earnings, providing a new stream of semi-passive income. The update was part of the major summer 2025 update for the game, continuing Rockstar Games' long-term support for GTA Online.
The primary new feature is the money laundering business system. Players can use a new car wash property to clean their dirty money, integrating it into their criminal empire. Here's everything you need to know about the new Money Fronts businesses and missions.
Car Wash: A new purchasable business property that serves as a front for money laundering operations.
The update introduces new activities centered around the money-laundering business. The update introduces several new ways to earn money and engage with the criminal underworld of Los Santos, focusing on both legitimate fronts and illicit operations.
Here's a breakdown of the key missions, jobs, and activities:
These missions represent the legitimate side of your business, offering a way to earn a modest income while also reducing your "Heat" level. These are not meant to be played for profit but to decrease the "Heat" level of your business. There are three businesses:
These are the core illegal operations of your new businesses and serve as your primary source of income. Each business has its own unique set of these missions.
The Mr. Faber Work is a new series of six contact missions that delve deeper into the narrative surrounding Mr. Faber. They are more extensive and offer decent payouts, especially if you complete bonus objectives.
You can start these missions from the laptop inside any of your three business properties (Car Wash, Smoke on the Water, or Higgins Helitours). Check out our main hub to learn more about Mr. Faber Work missions.
Your Cash Wash Business Safe provides a passive income stream directly from your Car Wash, with its efficiency influenced by your other acquired businesses. This safe passively generates income. If you own all the new Money Fronts businesses (along with already existing businesses in GTA Online), it can produce around $32,250 every in-game day (48 minutes in real-time).
Every real-world day, ten Red Harvest weed bags will randomly spawn across various locations in Los Santos. Collecting each bag grants you $7,500 and 500 RP. If you manage to collect all ten bags within the day, you'll receive an additional $25,000 bonus, bringing your total daily earnings from this activity to a lucrative $100,000 and 5,000 RP.
QuickiePharm is a new type of free roam mission offering quick payouts for delivery services. You're tasked with delivering medical supplies to various locations around the map.

The Money Fronts update was leaked extensively ahead of its official launch. The leaks occurred after Rockstar Games made the update available for pre-download over the weekend prior to its release. Hackers using jailbroken PlayStation 5 consoles were able to access the update's files, leading to widespread spoilers on social media.
Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, took action against the leaks, reportedly issuing a ban to at least one individual who was streaming the unreleased content online. The strategy of allowing players to pre-download major updates was not new for Rockstar, having been previously used for updates such as San Andreas Mercenaries, The Chop Shop, and Bottom Dollar Bounties
