GTA Online's upcoming update feels like it was taken straight out of The Breaking Bad.

The criminal underworld of Los Santos is about to get a major expansion as Rockstar Games prepares to launch the Money Fronts update for Grand Theft Auto Online on June 17 - but some fans might even be more excited about a seemingly minor quality of life update than the new content.

As expected from this year's summer update, which was teased a few weeks back, it's fairly huge, introducing an entirely new business model that allows players to establish legitimate storefronts while secretly operating sophisticated money laundering schemes behind the scenes.

The update revolves around three distinct business ventures for players to purchase and operate. The Hands On Car Wash in Strawberry provides the perfect cash-heavy business to disguise illegal activities. It becomes the hub for routing dirty money through legitimate channels, generating passive income while keeping authorities off your trail.

Players can expand their operations by acquiring the Smoke on the Water dispensary, enhancing earnings from existing Weed Farm operations. The third option, Higgins Helitours, offers helicopter tours while secretly boosting profits from Air Freight Cargo missions.

The update introduces a dynamic Heat system that adds strategic depth to business management. As players engage in illegal activities through their front businesses, they accumulate Heat that attracts unwanted attention from law enforcement.

When Heat levels become dangerously high, players must temporarily focus on legitimate business operations, playing the role of law-abiding entrepreneurs to cool things down before returning to their criminal enterprises.

Aside from criminal masterminds, vehicle enthusiasts will find plenty to explore with the addition of several new rides. The Karin Everon RS and Woodlander SUVs are best for players who prefer utility vehicles, while the Declasse Tampa GT offers classic muscle car styling for those seeking speed and power.

Law enforcement roleplay receives special attention with the introduction of the Western Police Bike, which comes bundled with an exclusive Summer Highway Patrol Outfit for players interested in Dispatch Work missions.

The technical improvements accompanying Money Fronts address long-standing player complaints and quality-of-life issues. Perhaps most significantly, fifty additional vehicles will receive Missile Lock-On Jammer capabilities. The ability to skip cutscenes during mission replays represents another major convenience upgrade that veteran players have requested for years.

Arena War participants will benefit from doubled Arena Points sources, making it easier to unlock exclusive rewards and progress through this competitive game mode.

The update also implements timing adjustments for Sell Missions in public sessions, giving players more breathing room when completing these challenging objectives while the update removes the problematic Boxville Van from Biker Sell Missions.

Finally, GTA+ subscribers will receive exclusive perks that enhance their Money Fronts experience. The Överflöd Suzume supercar becomes available exclusively to paying members, adding another high-performance vehicle to their collection. Members also gain access to an additional daily spin at The Diamond Casino's Lucky Wheel, doubling their chances for rare prizes and substantial cash rewards.

The upcoming GTA Online update will be available on all versions of Grand Theft Auto V, including Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition, Grand Theft Auto V Expanded and Enhanced and Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced.
