Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced is a PC-exclusive version of Grand Theft Auto V released on March 4, 2025.
History
Rockstar Games announced Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced for PC on February 20, 2025, with an official Newswire post 1. It serves as the PC equivalent of Grand Theft Auto V: Expanded and Enhanced that was initially released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X on March 15, 2022.
It is a separate update from Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced Edition that came out on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2014.

Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced brings features previously exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X version of GTA 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online to the PC, including:
- GTA+
- The Vinewood Club
- Hao's Special Works
- Career Builder
- Career Progress
- Technical improvements, including PC-exclusive ray tracing features, faster loading times, support for higher resolutions, and more.
Unlike previous GTA 5 updates, Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced is available for free to existing owners of GTA 5. Anyone can redeem their free upgrade on any platform, including the Epic Games Store and Steam 2.
Moving GTA Online progress from Legacy
Players with an eligible GTA Online profile in GTA V Legacy can migrate it to Enhanced on PC. After installing Enhanced, choose Online from its landing page and select the profile to migrate. Players who have already played Online in Enhanced must instead use Pause Menu > Online > Migrate Profile.3
The transfer is PC-to-PC only; it does not move progress between PC and consoles. Suspensions, bans, illegitimate progress or insufficient progress can make a profile ineligible. Legacy retains the migrated profile, but progress earned afterward does not synchronize between the two editions.3
Neither edition's Online mode is accessible while migration is processing. Once it finishes, players can continue with their migrated character. Choosing a new character instead overwrites that character slot.3
