Rockstar Games is flying the flag on PC Gamer's new 2026 Top 100, with two games on the list. Red Dead Redemption 2 rides in high at #13, while Grand Theft Auto V sits at #81, more than a decade after launch. Placing two games on a 100-game list puts Rockstar in select company, especially considering that they haven't had a new release in years if you don't count new editions.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the headline act. With a Top 100 Score of 245.13, it is Rockstar's highest entry and one spot off the top dozen. PC Gamer's Rory Norris called Arthur Morgan, John Marston and Dutch van der Linde the most memorable characters he has seen, with a world "ageing like fine wine in the nearly 10 years since launch." One of his colleagues admitted it was the only game to ever make them cry over a horse.

The placements come from PC Gamer's full 2026 ranking, topped by Baldur's Gate 3. GTA V sits at #81 with a score of 225.00. "Yes, GTA 6 is right around the corner, for consoles at least," PC Gamer notes, before adding that the 2013 game "is still well worth your attention on PC" thanks to Grand Theft Auto Online and its enormous modding scene.

Two entries puts Rockstar in select company. By our count, it is one of 15 studios with exactly two games on the list. The group includes Larian Studios (Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2), CD Projekt Red (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077) and id Software (two DOOM games), with Rockstar, a Take-Two Interactive label, sitting comfortably among them.

Rockstar is one of 15 studios with exactly two games on PC Gamer's 2026 Top 100, by our count.

GTA V has earned its spot across more than a decade, while Grand Theft Auto VI could contend for a spot if it receives a PC port. It is a console exclusive at launch, with the PC version predicted to arrive in early 2027, though Take-Two's May 21 earnings call carried bad news for PC players. For now, Grand Theft Auto is represented by GTA V which keeps selling millions and refuses to drop off the charts.

Two games on a PC list is a strong showing for any studio, more so with its biggest release still waiting in the wings. Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V have made the list years after their original releases.

If the next Rockstar epic joins them and both retain their places, Rockstar's slice of the list will grow.
