Blaze through Los Santos with GTA Online's 4/20 bonanza.
The latest Grand Theft Auto Online weekly update has arrived, and it's perhaps the most lucrative and thematically consistent event of the year so far.
Running through April 23, the 4/20-themed event week gives players a chance to earn a boatload of cash while enjoying cannabis-themed content spread all over Los Santos.
As teased in previous weeks, the newest GTA Online event features Lamar Davis. "Hunting Pack (Get Lamar)" puts a fresh spin on the classic Hunting Pack formula, with the best friend of Grand Theft Auto V protagonist, Franklin Clinton, finding himself in serious trouble.
With his LD Organics van in flames, players can either help him and the Grove Street Families to safely deliver their precious cargo, or side with the Ballas and Vagos.
The mode is offering double GTA$ and RP for all participants through April 23, with GTA+ subscribers receiving an exceptional quadruple reward bonus.
To incentivize players, winning just two rounds of this chaotic new mode completes the Weekly Challenge. As a reward, you'll receive the stylish Black High Brass Tee and a cool GTA$100,000 bonus deposited directly into your Maze Bank accounts. The Featured Series in Chamberlain Hills provides easy access to jump straight into the action.
The celebration extends beyond just gameplay with several free cannabis-themed apparel items for anyone who logs in during the event. Players will automatically receive the Gold 420 Pendant, Green 420 Festival Outfit, and Yeti Earth Day Hoodie simply for signing in. Additionally, completing any Biker Business Sell Mission will unlock the exclusive Güffy Drug Rug Hoodie, a perfect addition to any virtual stoner's wardrobe.
For entrepreneurial players, the virtual cannabis market is absolutely booming this week. Weed Farm Sell Missions are paying triple the normal GTA$ amount, making this the perfect time to move product. Even better, production speeds at all Weed Farms have been doubled during the event. Street Dealers are also offering double payouts for all sales through April 23.
To no one's surprise, now is the best time to get into the cannabis business or double down on it. Biker Clubhouses and all associated upgrades and modifications are 30% off, while Weed Farm Businesses and their upgrades are slashed by a massive 50%.
While Rockstar Games is understandably focused on the themed event, it hasn't forgotten vehicle enthusiasts either. Several high-performance rides are discounted by 30%, including popular motorcycles like the Nagasaki Shotaro and Shinobi. Supercar collectors can save on the Lampadati Tigon, Pegassi Ignus, Annis RE-7B, and Annis S80RR. The Übermacht Rhinehart sedan and rugged Declasse Draugur off-roader are also available at reduced prices.
The wandering Gun Van has restocked with several weapons and explosive options. GTA+ members get exceptional value with a free El Strickler and 40% discounts on both the Tactical SMG and Battle Rifle. Other available items include the Service Carbine, Compact Grenade Launcher, Pump Shotgun, Pool Cue, and assorted explosives like Proximity Mines, Pipe Bombs, and Tear Gas.
Luxury vehicle showrooms have been refreshed as well. On display over at Premium Deluxe Motorsport are the Benefactor XLS, Lampadati Viseris, Enus Cognoscenti Cabrio, Declasse Vamos, and Western Cliffhanger. Meanwhile, Luxury Autos is showcasing the retro-styled Invetero Coquette D1, which, by the way, saw its real-life counterpart featured in an ad by the Florida Highway Patrol, and the cutting-edge Pegassi Torero XO supercar.
Topping off this week's rewards for gear heads, those with a serious thirst for speed can earn this week's Prize Ride, the Pegassi Osiris supercar, by placing on the podium in the LS Car Meet Series for three consecutive days. The Test Track features three motorcycles to try out: the Dinka Enduro, Shitzu Hakuchou, and Western Zombie Bobber. Casino visitors spinning the Lucky Wheel have a chance to win the Western Rampant Rocket motorcycle as the top prize.
As a bonus, GTA+ subscribers receive additional exclusive benefits during the event. Members can claim a free Bollokan Envisage sports car at The Vinewood Car Club, complete with an exclusive Full Futurism livery. Other freebies include a LD Organics 420 Hockey Jersey with a matching Cap to boot.
Also, in case you haven't claimed it yet, the Classics Collection for GTA+ members is still available through May 28.
And there you have it, another week of freebies and stuff to do in Los Santos.
In other Grand Theft Auto news, Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive are still silent about Grand Theft Auto 6. Given the way that the Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed their marketing plans, the second GTA 6 trailer might not be released until after Mafia: The Old Country and Borderlands 4 have come out later this year.
But, hey, at least we got a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced.
