The 2025 Miami Grand Prix takes place at the Miami International Autodrome on May 4.

One of the biggest racing events of the year is bad in Miami this week. Ahead of its official start on May 5, marketing for the Formula One race ramped up and to no one's surprise, they're jumping on the Grand Theft Auto 6 hype.

Just like last year, Sky Sports has recreated the first GTA 6 trailer, featuring various locations in Miami, the real-life inspiration for Vice City.

However, unlike last year, Sky Sports didn't upload the trailer publicly. Perhaps they're erring on the side of caution this time around. Take-Two Interactive had issued a copyright takedown to a similar trailer that Sky Sports uploaded last year. So it's definitely possible that they aired this year's trailer only just to hype the upcoming race.

This, unfortunately, pretty much takes care of the speculation that a new GTA 6 trailer might be released over the next few days.

While engines will definitely be roaring at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida, Rockstar Games and Take-Two aren't likely affiliated with the event in any way.

It's indeed telling of how huge GTA 6 is going to be that one of the largest racing events and the broadcasters in the world are trying to use it to draw as many eyes to the Miami Grand Prix as possible.

Over the weekend, Ferrari uploaded a video featuring Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc ranking Grand Theft Auto V as their favorite classic video game of all time.

Outside of the Miami Grand Prix, the next two weeks will indeed be huge for the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is expected to give investors an update about the company's plans going forward on May 15. Central to its pipeline is GTA 6, the anticipation for which has already helped the company set new records in share prices.

If GTA 6 is delayed, it will have serious implications on share prices and the release dates of several upcoming games, so all eyes and ears are on this earnings call.

Of course, there's no indication of a delay yet at the moment. If anything, Rockstar's silence is spot on with Take-Two's new marketing plans.

Former Rockstar North lead director Obbe Vermeij agrees that there's really no need to release a second GTA 6 trailer until we're much closer to the game's potential release date.

When GTA 6 will be available, though, is the question on everyone's minds.

The best guess is that marketing for GTA 6 won't really start until Mafia: The Old Country and Borderlands 4 have each had their turn in the spotlight. This puts the game's release date sometime in October, but possibly late November given that Sony was confident enough to confirm Ghost of Yotei for October 2.

As for GTA 6 trailer recreations, the Miami Grand Prix isn't the only one to take advantage of the game's popularity. Earlier this month, the Florida Highway Patrol featured GTA 6 in its official reveal of its latest supercar.
