It certainly looks like Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced is about to look even better than it already does, and soon, too!

According to Razed, NaturalVision Evolved, which recently received its second update of the year back in March, will finally be released on the latest version of Grand Theft Auto V on May 15, just in time for the mod's fifth anniversary.

The new update to the fan-favorite GTA V \_graphics mod will be available for free to all users.

The announcement was made on the modding team's official Discord channel on Tuesday, April 29.

Razed revealed that the GTA V mod will feature an "improvement in overall visual quality" thanks mostly to expanded support for Ray Tracing Global Illumination effective distance and stronger Ray Traced Ambient Occlusion.

What this basically means is that GTA V will look more like Grand Theft Auto 6 will if not better.

Here's a look at some of the official photos and videos of NaturalVision Evolved running on GTA V Enhanced.

Razed confirmed back in March that the NaturalVision Evolved update to support GTA V Enhanced was coming after the latest update was released for Grand Theft Auto V Legacy in the same month.

NaturalVision Evolved, otherwise known as NVE, is one of the most popular GTA V mods and considered one of the best graphical upgrades that you can get for GTA V on PC, provided that your PC can support the upgraded graphics.

The modding scene has been quick to support GTA V Enhanced since its release in March. Even though Rockstar Games still has quite a few kinks it needs to work out, the PC update is close to being just as moddable as the original version. Recently, FiveM just confirmed that it now supports GTA V Enhanced, including the version available on the PC Game Pass.

With NVE now also supporting GTA V Enhanced, we should start seeing other popular GTA V mods become available to play on GTA V Enhanced.

Unfortunately, there's still no word about when Rockstar's plans on addressing the issue with the update's lack of Linux support and the misleading Steam Deck compatibility description.

Speaking of Grand Theft Auto, the next two weeks are about to be huge for the franchise. After Gearbox Entertainment confirmed that Borderlands 4 will be releasing early with a State of Play showcase scheduled for April 30 (Gearbox's CEO swears it has nothing to do with GTA 6) and with Mafia: The Old Country being showcased at PAX East on May 8, previous statements made by Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick about the company marketing their games closer to their official release date no longer seem to hold true.

All eyes (and ears) are now on the next Take-Two earnings call on May 15 to see if it will reveal positive news about GTA 6."
