Don't miss your chance to revisit Los Santos and experience the latest GTA Online updates before it's gone.

Just as predicted earlier this month, Grand Theft Auto V is leaving PlayStation Plus on May 20. Six months after being added to Sony's video game subscription service, Rockstar Games' best-selling title is leaving PS Plus.

As initially reported by Pushsquare, GTA V is part of the 22 titles that will be removed from the PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium libraries on the 20th of May, 2025. Sony has since added GTA V and the 21 other games to the "Last Chance to Play" section.

In case you haven't revisited Los Santos yet and somehow don't own the game, this is the best time to do it. GTA V is just as relevant as ever, with Grand Theft Auto Online receiving constant updates, including the latest weekly event that sees you help out Lamar Davis, the childhood friend of Franklin Clinton.

Interestingly, May is supposed to be a big month for the Grand Theft Auto franchise, both in terms of official news and speculated announcements. First up, we've got the Take-Two Interactive earnings call on May 15. We'll find out by then if Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick will continue to say that Grand Theft Auto 6 is still coming out later this year or if it will be delayed.

Aside from this, there are rumors that Sony and Rockstar has a marketing deal in place and this could all kick off sometime next month. There's also the rumors that Michael De Santa could finally reappear in GTA Online, which is timely after the GTA V protagonist's voice actor, Ned Luke, started commenting on this GTA 6 trailer theory.

As for GTA V, when one door closes, another opens. Just as GTA V will no longer be available on PS Plus, Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers have been able to enjoy it since April 15. If you own a Steam Deck competitor (by the way, GTA Online is still not available to play on the Steam Deck), this is your best chance to enjoy GTA V.
