Somebody took the Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 and remade the whole thing shot for shot and changed it so that everybody walking around in Vice City is enormous. Every character, Jason, Lucia, the background cast, all given what the creator cheerfully calls the "Ultimate Fat Edition" treatment. It even ends with a fake logo slapping that name over the real November release date.

Obviously, this isn't real. Yes, it is exists, but it's a fan parody, made by a YouTube channel called GTA Insanity, and it has nothing to do with Rockstar Games or the actual game. The real Trailer 2, which Rockstar released back in May 2025, uses completely normal character models. Nobody is getting an Ultimate Fat Edition.

If you somehow landed here thinking Rockstar announced one, you can relax, it doesn't exist.

With that said, the edit is genuinely funny, and it is a small window into something bigger (pun intended).

The reason a video like this pops off is the same reason a lot of things around this game do. Rockstar has shown so little fans are endlessly reworking the tiny amount of material that exists. There are only two trailers. So people remix them, slow them down, analyze them frame by frame, reupload them, and yes, make everyone in them fat. When you are starving, you get creative with the two ingredients in the fridge.

This edit exists because the second trailer is still, more than a year later, one of the only pieces of GTA 6 footage anyone has to work with.

There is a small, cheeky irony to the specific joke, too. The creator frames it as a "more realistic" version, and while it is obviously just a gag, Grand Theft Auto has always been a series about exaggerating and poking fun at the culture it is set in. A GTA 6 parody riffing on America is, in a weird way, exactly the sort of humor the actual games traffic in. The joke is dumb, but it is dumb in a very on-brand way, which we're sincerely hoping the rest of the game will continue to be like.

It also speaks a lot about the creativity of the GTA community. Lately, we saw footage of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas being used to basically tell the story of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey in its own hilarious way.

Hopefully though, "becoming plus sized" in GTA 6 doesn't end up something that the community has to add in later on. The trailers we've gotten so far have hinted at the return of a mechanic that Rockstar gutted from the franchise after GTA: San Andreas where you could make Carl Johnson as thin, as huge, and as buff as you wanted him to be.
