Rockstar Games celebrates "Weed Day" with new GTA Online Update

Rockstar Games' latest GTA Online update celebrates a holiday recognized as a day for the cannabis-oriented celebrations and that takes place every April 20.

Rockstar Games has been consistent with its weekly updates for GTA Online, which helps keep players engaged and entertained. Now, nearly a decade after GTA Online came out, Rockstar has tried plenty of ways to keep players in the loop. The most recent formula sees the studio release the occasional big update that's split across several months while, at the same time, supplementing it with weekly additions.

The latest one, in particular, doubles the production speed of weed farms while granting a 30% discount, as well as making weed-themed gear available free of charge.

Of course, not everyone celebrates 4/20, and Rockstar made sure to keep everybody happy.

  • A Free-for-All Deathmatch sees you receive a different random weapon every time you die or kill an opponent. Melee weapons, including going bare-knuckle, can kill opponents in a single hit.
