Rockstar has fixed 13 problems in the Kortz Center Heist, with most of the July 30 patch aimed at stealth runs that could fall apart for reasons the player could not see or control.
The list includes guards becoming alerted without an apparent trigger, disguises failing at the Loading Bay, a moving camera being hidden and security-room guards reacting more easily than Rockstar intended. These were not small cosmetic problems. Any one of them could ruin a careful solo run or cost a player the Elite Challenge.
The stealth fixes matter most
Several changes address the inconsistent guard and camera behaviour players have encountered since the heist launched. Rockstar says the patch fixes:
- Guards being alerted without an apparent cause.
- Guards reacting to player noise in the hedge maze.
- The guard near the Sewer exit alerting everyone after being hit with a Stun Gun.
- Players in disguise being spotted by cameras at the Loading Bay entrance.
- Security-room guards becoming alerted more easily than intended.
- A moving security camera being hidden from view.
- Some guard blips appearing at a shorter range than expected on the minimap.
- A guard spawning behind players who entered through the Staff Entrance.
The hedge-maze changes are particularly relevant to our Hard Mode Sewer route, where the player has to cross the maze before entering the tunnels and then return to the surface during the escape. The Loading Bay disguise fix should also make the Hard Mode Alpha Mail route more dependable.
CCTV, armor and entry-route problems were also fixed
Rockstar has corrected two contradictory CCTV interactions. The system should no longer play its dialogue after being disabled by the EMP, and the prompt to delete the vault footage should not return after that footage has already been removed. Players who use EMP Charges or other optional prep work should now get a clearer response from the finale.
The patch also addresses a delay in the entry cutscene when using the Skylight approach, unusually strong NOOSE armor, and players respawning in front of the Kortz Center after dying somewhere else. The unwanted guard spawn behind Staff Entrance players has also been removed, which should make our Normal solo Staff Entrance route more predictable.
Outside the heist, Rockstar fixed one Mission Creator problem that removed prop-spawning options after returning from Test Mode.
This is the third round of Kortz fixes
Rockstar has been repairing the update in stages. On July 23, it fixed incorrectly displayed Mansion plaques and trophies, a stationary camera in the Exhibition Hall and the Stealth Annihilator dropping to the ground when players were prompted to rappel. The July 16 fixes addressed missing Fine Art Collector rewards, an Epic Games activation error and incorrect repeat payouts for the three Doomsday Heist finales.
The July 30 entry does not announce another payout change. The confirmed Primary Target values, weekly sale rules and bonuses in our Kortz Center payout guide remain the same.
If unexplained alerts or a camera that ignored your disguise ended one of your earlier attempts, this is a good time to try the route again. The patch is aimed directly at making the finale behave the way its stealth systems suggest it should.
