The stars of GTA 5 think "it would be great" to enjoy one last score in GTA 6.

While Rockstar Games is never one to run out of crazy, creative ideas for Grand Theft Auto, they might want to listen to what Steven Ogg, Shawn Fonteno, and Ned Luke have to say.

The trio has become synonymous with Grand Theft Auto V for their performances as the chaotic Trevor Philips, ambitious Franklin Clinton, and conflicted Michael De Santa, helping turn the 2013 title into the second best-selling video game of all time with over 215 million copies sold as of May 2025.

So if there's anyone whose creative input Rockstar should value outside of people working within the studio, it's them.

During a panel at Comic Con Brussels on June 15, the same one where Ogg clarified (once again) his relationship with his character, a fan brought up the possibility of seeing their characters return in Grand Theft Auto 6, and their answer will put a smile on your face.

The trio didn't just express genuine interest in reuniting, they went as far as to pitch an entire concept on the spot!

Their idea centers around a story DLC that would bring the gang back together for one final heist. The actors enthusiastically brainstormed potential titles during the panel.

What makes this proposal particularly intriguing is the actors' direct appeal. They're actively encouraging fans to campaign for it. This grassroots approach shows just how invested they remain in their characters and the franchise that made them household names.

The timing of such a DLC could work perfectly within GTA 6's release schedule. With the base game launching on May 26, 2026, a story expansion featuring the GTA 5 protagonists could arrive later as downloadable content.

A DLC, potentially arriving right around the same time the game comes to the PC, if not after, could give players enough time to fully explore the new Vice City setting before revisiting familiar faces from Los Santos.

If it's in the form of a paid expansion, then all the better. The power of nostalgia will be in full blast 2-3 years from now. GTA fans will pony up for a chance to see the trio in action once again.

This wouldn't be the first time Rockstar has connected different entries. The franchise has a long history of subtle callbacks and character cameos that create a shared universe across its games. However, bringing back three main protagonists for a substantial story DLC would be a first.

Of course, there's no guarantee Rockstar will embrace this idea. The developer famously scrapped planned story DLC for GTA 5, choosing instead to focus resources on the wildly successful Grand Theft Auto Online.

However, GTA 6 is one of the most anticipated games in history, and Rockstar has more resources at their disposal than ever.

After seeing the commercial hit that GTA Online became and the clamor for more single-player GTA content, Rockstar might be more willing to invest in both aspects going forward.

For now, the ball is in Rockstar's court. But we'd be lying if we didn't say that nothing would feel as satisfying as seeing Michael, Franklin, and Trevor ride off into the sunset after one last perfectly executed heist.

In the meantime, fans can continue hoping that Rockstar will at least bring Ned Luke back to play Michael De Santa again in GTA Online before GTA 6 comes out.
