Whiplash-inducing chaos takes over Grand Theft Auto Online this week as Random Transform Races return with a triple bonus attached. Three new Known Unknown Races have been added, set around the Redwood Lights Track, the Elysian Island docks, and the Grand Senora Desert, and each one cycles you randomly through a fixed lineup of vehicles until every one has had its turn behind the wheel.
Expect everything from Blazer ATVs and Manchez Scout motorcycles built for rough terrain to hulking Phantom tractor trucks that have no business going that fast. Two new Unknown Unknown Races add another layer of unpredictability, forcing players to switch between land, sea, and air vehicles on the fly. Anyone who finishes these races this week earns 3X GTA$ and RP.
This event week runs from August 27 through September 2, 2026.
The weekend brings its own separate bonus on top of that. From August 28 through 30, select Drift and Transform Races pay out a massive 6X GTA$ and RP, making this one of the best windows all year to grind out cash and rank on wheels alone.

Drift fans also get a permanent upgrade this week with three vehicles becoming eligible for Drift Tuning. The Annis Elegy Retro gets pulled into modern form, the Invetero Coquette becomes a proper canvas for sliding through corners, and the nearly two-ton Vapid Dominator GTT can now be thrown into deliberate, controlled tailspins that feel like they shouldn't be possible for a car that heavy.
Beyond the special races, Drift Races in general are paying double GTA$, RP, and LS Car Meet Rep all week. Completing three of them also checks off this week's Weekly Challenge, which adds a flat GTA$100,000 bonus. Anyone who wins a Drift Race in the Übermacht Cypher gets its Glitch Camo drift livery delivered to their garage within 72 hours, so it's worth keeping that car warmed up.
Auto Shop owners have their own reason to stay busy. Robbery Contracts run through an Auto Shop are paying double GTA$, RP, and LS Car Meet Rep, though this particular bonus sticks around a bit longer, through September 2.
