Rockstar Games is teasing something that players in Los Santos have been wanting for years: proper mansions. Prix Luxury Real Estate is the new GTA Online business handling these high-end properties, and they're dropping in December with what Rockstar is calling "unrivaled" estates in the city's most exclusive areas.
Of course, there's a catch, though. Actually, several catches.
First, these aren't going to be cheap - not that this is surprising. The base prices haven't been revealed yet, but Rockstar is already dangling a GTA$2 million discount as an incentive. That tells you everything about the kind of money we're talking about here. To get that discount, you need to complete three new missions called New Listings, which are live on Grand Theft Auto Online now through December 7.
The work involves clearing squatters, gathering construction materials, and dealing with contractors - basically, the unglamorous side of luxury real estate development. The missions themselves pay 2X GTA$ and RP, or 4X if you're a GTA+ subscriber. There's also a VIP tier system. Everyone who logs in between now and December 7 automatically becomes a Black Tier VIP, which gets you a free Übermacht Revolter sports car with an exclusive livery, plus some clothing items.
Complete those three New Listings missions and you jump to Gold Tier, which includes the GTA$2,000,000 discount, a GTA$1,000,000 cash bonus that arrives within 72 hours, and a Rockstar sweater.
Timing matters here, as Rockstar is spacing out the rewards across the next few weeks with rotating bonuses designed to help players stockpile cash. Right now through November 19, VIP Work and Challenges pay 3X GTA$ and RP. Vehicle Cargo missions and Special Vehicle Work are paying double, while Associates and Bodyguards are earning triple salaries. Rockstar is also giving away a free Executive Office at Lombank West this week, with all other office properties at 50% off. If you don't already have the infrastructure to run these businesses, this is probably the time to set it up.
What's interesting is how Rockstar is framing all of this. The New Listings missions have you working for Mr. Faber, who's part of the development consortium. You're not just buying property, but actively participating in molding Los Santos's luxury market. It's a decent bit of world-building that makes the grind feel slightly less arbitrary.
The actual mansion properties haven't been shown yet - just the promise that they're coming in December with that hefty price tag. Given how long players have been asking for proper penthouses and estates beyond the basic high-end apartments, Rockstar seems confident these will deliver.
In the automotive world, discounts are heavy on luxury sedans. The Benefactor Schafter variants are all 50% off, both armored and regular versions. You can take a look at all vehicles on offer this week below:
