Grand Theft Auto VI has no announced PC version, but a well-known industry analyst just went on BBC News and put a rough clock on one. Michael Pachter of Wedbush Securities says the game will reach PC about six or seven months after its console launch, pointing at a release somewhere in the early half of 2027.

The comment came on BBC Business Today, the network's business bulletin, in a segment on GTA 6's commercial impact that touched on the reported 22 percent jump in PS5 sales tied to the game. Pachter, who is a Wedbush managing director, said plainly that G_TA 6_ "will come to PC," putting the window at roughly six or seven months out. A mainstream business show giving a segment to a game's release is its own sign of how big this launch has become.

It is an estimate though. Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have only ever confirmed a console release, November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, with no PC date and no word that a PC version is even in the works. Pachter talks about gaming stocks and release windows for a living, so this is informed speculation from someone with good contacts within the video game industry.

Every PC date is still unofficial, but the estimates all cluster sometime in early 2027.

His timing is not far off the chatter either. GamesBeat, citing sources familiar with Rockstar's plans, has pointed to a PC window in the first quarter of 2027, roughly two to four months after the console launch. Pachter's six-or-seven-month estimate runs a little later, closer to May or June, but both sit in the same early-to-mid-2027 range. Either one would be far quicker than Rockstar's usual wait, about nineteen months for Grand Theft Auto V and thirteen for Red Dead Redemption 2. A shorter gap fits where the industry is now, with PC a far bigger market than it was in 2013 and Rockstar keen to capture it before the launch momentum fades.

Pachter is a regular voice on GTA 6. We have covered his takes on the game's price before. Like any analyst, he gets some calls right and some wrong. A PC version itself is close to a safe bet. Every modern Grand Theft Auto has reached PC eventually and Rockstar has shortened the gap over the years. The only open question is when, which nobody outside Rockstar has a firm answer.

Make no mistake. The PC version of GTA 6 looks like a safe bet, and the chances of an early 2027 release are becoming more likely. A credible voice on the BBC just added to a growing list.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to more information about GTA 6 coming from Edge on October 29.
