Contact Missions
Contact Missions are cooperative jobs offered by GTA Online characters such as Lamar Davis, Gerald, Simeon Yetarian, Ron Jakowski and Martin Madrazo. Classic missions unlock as your rank increases, while newer story series can have their own entry requirements and mission order.
It's easy to confuse "Contact" missions with "Contract" missions. They're not the same!
Once a mission is available, you can accept an invite, launch it from the Jobs menu or request work from the relevant phone contact when that option is available. Story-led sets such as Lamar's Lowriders missions must be completed in sequence.
A smaller number of Contact Missions start from job coronas in Freemode instead of the usual phone or Jobs-menu route. These coronas appear at specific places and, in some cases, only during certain in-game hours.
For example, Rank 5 unlocks Lamar missions including "Introduction," "Mall Or Nothing," "Hold Up" and "Ballas to the Wall." Later missions include "San Andreas Seoul" at Rank 16, "Ticket to Elysium" at Rank 18 and "Going Down the GOH" at Rank 20.
Contact Mission Payouts
Classic Contact Missions award GTA$, RP and Job Points. Rockstar's 2014 payout rebalance tied the cash reward to mission difficulty and time taken, removed the old replay penalty and added higher cash rewards for groups of two to four players.1
The full time table is not published by Rockstar, so we keep the percentages below up to date using our Contact Mission Payout Calculator and checks against the game. Waiting 15 minutes earns the mission's maximum payout, although finishing sooner can still produce better earnings per minute.
The percentage applies to each mission's own maximum payout. The example cash column uses a mission with a GTA$20,400 maximum; other missions pay different amounts. Rockstar has also increased the base payouts for several Contact Mission series in later updates, so older payout lists may no longer be accurate.4

These bonuses can also affect Contact Mission rewards:
- Difficulty bonus
- Normal difficulty pays 25% more GTA$.
- Hard difficulty pays 50% more GTA$.2
- Crew RP bonus
- If at least two players in the same crew complete a mission together, each crew member receives 20% more RP.
- Friend RP bonus
- Completing a mission with at least one player from your friends list gives each friend 10% more RP.
- Free Aim RP bonus
- Playing in Free Aim gives all participants 25% more RP.3
- Multiplayer cash bonus
- Two players receive 10% more GTA$ each.
- Three players receive 20% more GTA$ each.
- Four players receive 30% more GTA$ each.1
Temporary weekly bonuses are added automatically when they are active and are shown on the mission's launch screen.
Major Mission Series Finales
Some newer story-driven Contact Mission finales use fixed host payouts instead of the classic time table. Rockstar's July 2026 update added a higher reward for the host's first eligible completion after the weekly reset, followed by a lower repeat payout for later completions that week.5

These figures are for the host; teammates receive their own payout. Rockstar confirms the weekly mechanic but does not publish every current amount, so we keep this table up to date using our Contact Mission Payout Calculator and checks against the game.
