Vapid Creado

The Vapid Creado is a two-door coupé utility produced by the Vapid Motor Company, set to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. Its repeated presence in official promotional material suggests it serves as the signature vehicle of protagonist Jason Duval.

Overview

The Creado is a new utility vehicle introduced in Grand Theft Auto VI. It features heavily in the game's marketing, appearing in official artwork showing protagonists Lucia and Jason seated on its hood. It also plays a significant role in the second trailer, where it is showcased as Jason's personal car.

The vehicle's importance to the story was suggested even before its official reveal, as it appeared numerous times in the September 2022 GTA VI leaks with a unique vehicle marker, providing early evidence that the car serves a key part in the game's narrative.

Design and Appearance

The Creado's design is heavily inspired by the fifth-generation Ford Ranchero GT1. Its side profile character line is derived from the 1969–1970 Mercury Cougar2, while elements of the rear fascia, specifically the taillight positioning and the fender indentations above them, seem to draw from the Holden HR utility3.

A Vapid logo is visible on the vehicle's grille in official artwork. The name "Creado" can be seen on its front fender badges in a script font that closely resembles the font used on the real-world Ranchero badge4. Leaked footage showed the car with a custom livery that mimics the paint job found on the Ranchero GT, but with a blue stripe instead of a yellow one5.

Acquisition / Locations

The Vapid Creado is strongly implied to be the personal vehicle of protagonist Jason Duval, indicating that it will be accessible to players early in Story Mode.

Trivia

  • The name Creado comes from the Spanish word for "created". It is also an older Portuguese spelling of criado, meaning "servant", which may reference the vehicle’s role as a practical, utility-focused car.
