Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio

The Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio is a two-door spyder manufactured by Pfister that appears in Grand Theft Auto Online and is set to return in Grand Theft Auto VI. As a high-performance sports car, it serves as the convertible variant of the Pfister Comet S2, known for its modern design and powerful engine.

Overview

The Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio was introduced in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Contract update. Serving as the convertible counterpart to the Comet S2, it retains the same core design language and performance profile while offering an open-top driving experience. Powered by a flat-6 engine, it shares mechanical similarities with other Comet family models, including the Comet Retro Custom and Comet Safari. Its appearance in Grand Theft Auto VI trailers indicates it will continue as a high-end, sports car within the series.

Design and Appearance

The Comet S2 Cabrio takes primary inspiration from the Porsche 911 Cabriolet (992)1, sharing its sleek, modern styling with the hard-top Comet S2 while adding a soft retractable roof.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, its bodywork is finished in a primary color, with secondary tones applied to the mirror shells. Interior stitching is customizable through a trim color option, and the vehicle comes equipped with "Hyperfresh" Street rims that can be painted separately.

For Grand Theft Auto VI, trailer footage shows several subtle updates to the model. These include a reworked rear bumper with improved license plate integration, an additional badge beneath the "PFISTER" wordmark, and a redesigned engine grille top no longer partially covered by bodywork.

Other stylistic cues are drawn from multiple real-world influences include headlights that are reminiscent of the Porsche 911 (991.1)2, a front fascia and side skirts influenced by the Porsche 718 Cayman GTS3, and tail lights with similarities to the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera4.

Performance

Much like the Comet S2, the Cabrio is powered by a flat-6 engine coupled to an 8-speed gearbox in a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. Its engine sound in GTA Online is shared with the Comet S2 and the Comet SR. When fully upgraded in GTA Online, the Comet S2 Cabrio can reach a maximum speed of 208.01 km/h (129.25 mph)5. Performance details for Grand Theft Auto VI are currently unknown.

Modifications / Customization

The Comet S2 Cabrio supports a wide range of visual and performance upgrades, with a particular emphasis on racing-inspired designs. Notable customization options include:

Liveries:

  • Red Pfister Track Graphics: Based on the Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS6.
  • Stronzo: Modeled after the Martini Racing livery for the Porsche 9357.
  • Air Herler: Inspired by the Porsche 935/78 "Moby Dick" variant8.
