Tackling ghosts and aliens in the latest GTA Online update.
The last 12 months have been huge for the Grand Theft Auto franchise. After Rockstar officially revealed the next GTA game in early 2022, a massive leak occurred late last year that has had fans in a perpetual state of excitement since.
But, Rockstar has remained steadfast in its resolve to keep its mouth shut and hide GTA 6 from prying eyes until it's ready to pull back the curtains. In the meantime, it's keeping fans busy with a constant barrage of noticeably chunky updates for GTA Online, and the October 26 update is no exception.
In tandem with the spooky season, GTA Online has embraced Halloween-themed changes over the past month. Players who've ventured into the world of San Andreas recently might've stumbled upon some eerie sights and the occasional random appearances of UFOs and Phantom Cars are back to haunt the streets of Los Santos and Blaine County. These aren't mere cosmetic updates either.
The latest collectible event, Ghosts Exposed, encourages players to photograph 10 unique ghosts that spawn in different locations every hour from 8pm until 6am. Success rewards the player with the Ghosts Exposed livery for the Albany Brigham, which is also available for free to GTA+ members along with the GTA Trilogy remaster and a pair of GTA spin-offs.
Returning collectibles have added to the seasonal festivities. Jack-O-Lanterns have resurfaced, waiting for the players to discover them. But tread carefully; while some pumpkins gift players with rewards such as RP, in-game cash, and snacks, others might have tricks up their sleeves, like getting you zapped or blown up. Players can also seek out Halloween-themed bobbleheads, face paints, and more.
