In another example of real life imitating art after the art first imitated real life, the Miami nightclub that Grand Theft Auto VI parodied is about to become its own parody. E11EVEN Miami, the 24-hour downtown ultraclub, is transforming into NINE1NINE Vice City for one night on November 6, with Flo Rida performing, a party the club is throwing to celebrate the game.
The connection goes back to the first trailer. In December 2023, the debut Grand Theft Auto VI trailer showed an airplane-towed banner for a fictional Vice City nightclub called NINE1NINE, with the tagline Why Sixty Nine When You Can Nine 1 Nine. It was a clear nod to E11EVEN, an uber popular local spot that prides itself as the "the world's first and only 24/7 ultraclub" known for celebrity sets and the aerial banners it flies over South Beach.
E11EVEN did not let the shout-out pass. Days after the trailer, the club flew its own aerial banner reading When Nine 1 Nine = E11even. Its marketing director Eddie Franco said they embraced the reference for fun. The club has turned up in later trailer footage too. Now it is going all the way and becoming NINE1NINE for a night.
The November 6 event is billed as the IRL grand opening of NINE1NINE Vice City's Sexiest Nightclub, a one-night branding takeover of the real venue at 29 NE 11th Street with Flo Rida headlining. The tickets are out now through the club, with admission starting in the mid-40-dollar range and VIP tables available, under the usual 21-and-over and dress-code rules.
This is the club capitalizing on the joke, not an official Rockstar Games event. There is no Take-Two Interactive involvement. The event is purely E11EVEN's own promotion. It still fits the moment though, with Vice City drenched in Vice City branding as the launch of arguably the biggest Grand Theft Auto ever draws near.

E11EVEN is the latest piece of a city that has gone full Vice City. Rockstar has hung a $975,000 Welcome to Vice City sign on the Kaseya Center, turned the Miami Heat into Vice City for a night, put beach gear and plane banners over South Beach, driven modded in-game cars through real streets and plastered crude in-universe ads on kiosks. Even the county signed a marketing deal after a public fight over it. A nightclub becoming its own fictional parody is the most Miami entry on that list, the one nobody needed to approve and something that we should've seen coming.
The club that inspired a fake GTA 6 nightclub is spending a night pretending to be it, with a hometown star on the mic.
If that doesn't prove just how much larger than life GTA 6 has become, we don't know what does.
