The Unmarked Weapons prep gives you the loadout you'll use during the finale, since you can't bring your own weapons into the heist. There are three missions to choose from, each giving you a different loadout:

  • Street Loadout
  • Security Loadout
  • Military Loadout

Here's how to complete each one.

Street Loadout

The Street Loadout is the easiest of the three, and the weapons you get include the Battle Rifle, Mini SMG, Suppressed Pistol, Pipe Bomb, and Machete. If you've purchased the Armory add-on, a Pump Shotgun Mk II is added on top.

For this mission, head to the repair shop and eliminate the gang members inside. Once they're down, look for the weapon locker with a duffel bag containing the weapons. The catch is that the locker is locked.

The keypad that you must hack to get inside the locker room.

To open it, you'll need to hack the keypad. Interacting with it starts a small mini-game you'll have seen a few times before in GTA Online. You need to form a word from the scrambled letters shown. It's always a five-letter word, and it's usually something common tied to the repair shop or a mechanical theme. For example, we got "MOTOR," and on another run we got "RAPID."

You can make up to five mistakes, but every time you get it wrong, any letters already in the correct spot stay put while the wrong ones are cleared. That makes it much easier to figure out the word as you go, a bit like a game of hangman.

Once it's hacked, head inside and grab the duffel bag. As you leave, more enemies will barge in, so take them out, then interact with the computer to wipe the CCTV footage. Return the weapons to your Mansion to complete the mission.

Security Loadout

The Security Loadout is slightly tougher than the Street Loadout. For this one you'll head to the SecuroServ warehouse to grab the weapons. The loadout includes a Suppressed Bullpup Rifle, Heavy Shotgun, Suppressed Machine Pistol, Stun Gun, Combat Pistol, Grenade, and Switchblade. With the Armory add-on, a Marksman Rifle Mk II is added as well.

When you reach the SecuroServ warehouse, eliminate the guards outside and head in. Inside you'll find a few more guards, so clear them out and make your way to the end of the warehouse, where you'll find a locked weapon locker room.

You can hack this keypad too, and the mini-game is exactly the same as the one in the Street Loadout mission. You need to identify the five-letter word, and this time it'll usually be hacking-themed. For example, we got "COVER."

Once it's hacked, head inside and collect the unmarked weapons. Before you leave, you'll need to destroy the CCTV footage by planting explosives on the terminal. Plant them and get out of the warehouse quickly.

Military Loadout

This is by far the hardest of the three. It gives you excellent weapons, but honestly the Street Loadout does the job just fine, so only go for this one if you want the extra firepower. The Military Loadout gives you the Military Rifle, Assault Shotgun, Stun Gun, Tactical SMG, Sticky Bomb, and Knife. With the Armory add-on, a Heavy Sniper Mk II is added too.

First, make your way to Fort Zancudo and break into the Control Tower. The tower is heavily guarded, and it's extremely difficult to manage because of how many soldiers are stationed around the area. The moment you kill one of them, you'll get a three-star wanted level and every soldier will come after you.

Eliminated all the soldiers standing outside the control tower.

The best approach is to take out the guards outside the tower quickly, either with a missile or using the homing missiles on your Oppressor Mk II or Buzzard, then get inside fast.

Once they're down, head in, clear out the incoming soldiers, and make your way to the elevator at the end of the hallway. Take it up to the upper floor of the tower.

When you step out of the elevator, head up the stairs to reach the top of the control tower. Watch the corners, as they sometimes have soldiers with shotguns that can take a big chunk out of your health.

At the top, eliminate the three soldiers, then hack the terminal to unlock the weapon locker. That locker is back down the stairs, on the same floor you arrived at when you got out of the elevator, not all the way down.

This time the hacking mini-game is the classic connecting nodes puzzle. You need to connect the nodes on the left to the nodes on the right, then test the connection using the button shown on screen. For us on PC, that was TAB. Once tested, the correct connections stay in place while the wrong ones drop off, so you can quickly work out which node goes where through a bit of trial and error and connect all four.

After hacking, head down the stairs and you'll see the room beside the elevator is now open. This is the locker room, and it has a few soldiers inside along with your loadout.

Once you've got it, exit the room and go to the room across from it at the base of the staircase. There's one more soldier inside, so take him out, then wipe the CCTV footage.

The room with the security laptop.

To do that, first interact with the laptop by the hard drive terminal to hack the servers, then pull out the backup drive to wipe the evidence.

After deleting the footage, pull out the backup drive (circled in red).

From here, you just need to fight your way back out, lose the cops, and deliver the weapons to your Mansion to complete the mission.

If your flying vehicle like the Oppressor Mk II or Buzzard has been destroyed, you can grab one of the vehicles at Fort Zancudo and head to the hangars to steal a P-996 Lazer fighter jet to make your escape instead.

Which Loadout Should You Get?

We recommend just going with the Street Loadout. It's by far the quickest and easiest of the three, and the weapons you get are more than enough to handle the finale without any trouble. The Security and Military loadouts do give you some nicer gear, but the extra time and effort simply isn't worth it, especially the Military Loadout, which throws you into Fort Zancudo and a three-star wanted level for weapons you don't really need. Save yourself the hassle and stick with the Street Loadout.

Once you've got your loadout sorted, that's another prep mission off your board. For every other part of the job, including the full scope out, the rest of the prep missions, and the payouts, head over to our Kortz Center Heist hub.
