Steven Ogg voiced Trevor Philips in Grand Theft Auto V, one of gaming's most unhinged characters and he has spent 13 years barely touching the finished game. This all changes tonight. Ogg is picking up the controller to play GTA V properly for the first time as part of Ned Luke's ongoing farewell play through series.
This is a real turn for Ogg. He has famously never played GTA V the whole way through, once dismissing it as a "cartoon" and telling fans they would be better off reading Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment. So watching him sit down and steer Trevor through the same Grand Theft Auto he starred in and has kept at arm's length for over a decade is the whole appeal.
The appearance is the latest part of the The Final Mission, Luke's one last full playthrough of GTA V before Grand Theft Auto VI arrives. Ned Luke, who plays Michael and streams Grand Theft Auto Online constantly, has been running it with rotating guests since early September. Ogg turned up for Episode 1 back then, but only to watch and react.
For Episode 6, premiering tonight at 6pm ET on Luke's YouTube channel, he is back with the controller in hand.

The rotating guests on Ned Luke's GTA V send-off, with Ogg back to actually play.
The whole series is the cast throwing GTA V its own send-off. Rockstar Games never brought the three protagonists back together for one final in-game mission, so Luke and the actors are doing it themselves, one stream at a time. Shawn Fonteno, who voices Franklin, took Episode 2. Other Rockstar performers have dropped in since. Getting Ogg to not just show up but play is the biggest get yet.
Luke is promising chaos. He has hyped the episode as potentially "REALLY messy," which is the point. Ogg playing as Trevor, a character built on pure volatility, for the first time in 13 years, is exactly the kind of unpredictable the send-off wants. Whatever happens on stream tonight, it is a fitting way to close the book on GTA V before GTA 6 takes over in November.
