How Rockstar is Making GTA Online Spookier Than Ever

GTA Online is not just a game; it's an evolving universe that constantly shifts its landscape to keep players engaged. Each week, Rockstar Games ensures the release of new content, updates, and events to maintain the game's dynamism.

For the October 12 update, San Andreas' local authorities are urging denizens to stay alert, given the recent reports of paranormal occurrences and alien activities. Such a setting immediately sets the stage for players to anticipate unworldly events and gear up for what's to come.

Being in tune with the festive spirit, Rockstar introduced several Halloween-centric activities, primarily UFO sightseeing and Phantom Car events, both of which were received with enthusiasm in earlier editions. Further amplifying the allure is a fresh collectable event, Ghosts Exposed, where players are set on a quest to capture images of ten ghosts that appear in various locations every hour between 8 pm to 6 am.

• Achieving a top-four position in LS Car Meet races for two consecutive days grants dedicated racers the Annis Hellion, which is based on the real-life Nissan Patrol Safari Y60, complete with a limited-time Nightmare livery. Previously priced at $835,000, this became a tantalizing target for the competitive spirits in the GTA Online community.

Of course, Halloween wouldn't be complete without masks. As part of the GTA Online update, Rockstar is introducing three of them. The first one is the Green Vintage Witch Mask, which you can get by logging into the game. Meanwhile, the Light Green Vintage Vampire Mask awaits for completing a Bunker Steal Supplies Mission. Finally, the final free mask, the Orange Vintage Werewolf Mask, is a reward for completing a Bunker Sell Mission.

But what makes this update particularly intriguing is the blend of the old with the new. In a nod to GTA's vast history, players are teased with the apparition of Johnny Klebitz, a character from the game's lore, who met an untimely end in the hands of another protagonist, Trevor Philips. The ghost of Johnny could be found in specific locations, and photographing all ten apparitions would yield a lucrative $250,000 in-game reward along with 5,000 RP.
