A new Slasher mode on a pitch-black submarine, zombie survival in Cayo Perico and North Yankton, and a month of unlockable rewards including the Vinewood Undead Collection.
October is here, and you know what that means: Halloween has arrived to Grand Theft Auto Online in the form of a month-long celebration packed with undead enemies, supernatural sightings, and a new take on the game's popular Slasher mode.
The headline addition is a new Slasher variant set inside the cramped corridors of the Ramius submarine. Players have to find their way in pitch-black decks using only flashlights while a shotgun-wielding killer hunts them down.
After three minutes, the tables turn as the hunted gain shotguns and become the hunters. The mode runs with double rewards from October 16 to 22 as part of the Featured Series.
Meanwhile, two zombie survival modes have risen from the grave. Cayo Perico Survival throws waves of the undead at players on El Rubio's island, featuring zombie juggernauts, armored conquistadors, possessed animals, and even zombie DJs.
It's offering double payouts from October 2 to 8. The other is Ludendorff Cemetery Survival, which brings the zombie apocalypse to the snowy setting of North Yankton and pays out triple rewards when it reanimates on October 23 through November 5.
Each week features a different Halloween adversary mode with double rewards. Beast vs. Slasher kicks things off, followed by Judgement Day, then the new Ramius submarine mode, Condemned, and finally a week of classic Slasher modes to close out the event.
Players who complete weekly challenges throughout October can unlock the Vinewood Undead Collection, which includes a Slasher Clown Outfit, the rare Please Stop Me Mask, a Vinewood Zombie Tee, and a Skulls livery for the Mammoth Avenger. Each weekly challenge pays out GTA$200,000 alongside a collectible Halloween mask.

Beyond the structured events, Los Santos sees UFO sightings mid-month with alien abductions, a Ghosts Exposed investigation where players photograph supernatural evidence, and scattered Jack O' Lanterns to collect for bonus cash. The Ramius submarine location also allows creators to add zombie shamblers and runners to their own custom survival jobs.
Free Halloween masks are available throughout the month, and several spooky vehicles are getting discounts, including the LCC Sanctus motorcycle, Albany Lurcher muscle car, Albany Fränken Stange sports classic, and Chariot Romero Hearse. Bunker sell missions are also paying 2X GTA$ and RP, with bunkers and their upgrades marked down 30%.
The event runs through early November, with players who log in by October 8 also receiving a Red Yeti Fall Cap as part of a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.
