Ludendorff Cemetery Survival is a seasonal cooperative mode in GTA Online set in the snow-covered cemetery at North Yankton. It launched with the 2024 Halloween update on October 10, marking GTA Online's first playable return to the area.1

Enemies and setting

Players defend the cemetery against successive waves of zombies, hulking juggernauts and possessed animals. The narrow paths, gravestones and limited sightlines make the North Yankton arena markedly tighter than the later Cayo Perico Survival.1

The mode quickly became one of GTA Online's most-played Halloween activities. Players defeated more than 500 million zombies during its original run, and almost two million accounts played it in its first week, according to Rockstar's community totals covered in our North Yankton zombie record report and first-week player report.2

Availability

The first run lasted through November 6, 2024. Rockstar returned the mode from October 23 to November 5, 2025, confirming that it is a recurring seasonal activity rather than a permanently disabled one.3

Bonuses, weekly challenges and GTA+ rewards vary between event periods. They should not be treated as permanent rules for the mode.
