Grand Theft Auto Online's Independence Day update has arrived, and Rockstar Games is calling it the biggest sale in the game's history, packing in a free property, discounted vehicles across nearly every category, and a stack of bonus GTA$ opportunities tied to Bunker work, Stunt Races, and the Community Series. This event week runs from Thursday, July 2, 2026 through Monday, July 13, 2026.
The main giveaway is the Lago Zancudo Bunker, which players can claim for free through Maze Bank Foreclosures. Anyone who'd rather set up shop elsewhere can grab any other Bunker property, along with Bunker upgrades and modifications, at 40% off.

Vehicles make up the bulk of the sale. On the aircraft side, the Mammoth Avenger, B-11 Strikeforce, RO-86 Alkonost, RM-10 Bombushka, and Buckingham Luxor are all 70% off.
Weaponized and special vehicles see similarly steep cuts, with the Declasse Scramjet and Pegassi Toreador at 50 to 60% off, and military rides like the TM-02 Khanjali also discounted 50%. A long list of sports cars, muscle cars, and motorcycles round things out, including the Pegassi Tezeract and Överflöd Zeno at 60% off.
On top of the property and vehicle discounts, players get a free Firework Launcher from Ammu-Nation and the Gun Van, plus a free High-End Garage through July 13. Patriotic cosmetics including tire smoke, horns, face paint, parachutes, and clothing are all 40% off during the same window. In the Gun Van specifically, the Firework Launcher and Musket are both free, while the Heavy Rifle is 40% off.

Bunker owners have extra incentive to log in this week, since Bunker Sell Missions pay Double Rewards and Bunker Research Missions pay out 2X GTA$, RP, and Research Progress. Completing three Research Missions also unlocks a Weekly Challenge reward of the Blue Jock Cranley Jumpsuit and GTA$100,000, and selling off excess weapon parts through the Am mu-Nation Contract earns 2X GTA$ and RP as well. Stunt Race Series events pay Triple Rewards through July 13, and the returning Running Back Remix in the Featured Series pays 2X GTA$ and RP. The Community Series is also doubled this week, covering Rally Races, quickdraw duels, and a Musket Deathmatch.
Business Battles are worth running too, since delivering crates this week can unlock the Pißwasser, Benedict, Patriot, and Supa Wet Beer Hats along with a Statue of Happiness T-shirt.

Running alongside the weekly sale is a longer bonus GTA$ promotion tied to the upcoming Kortz Center Heist. Players who link their Rockstar Games account can opt in through July 22 to earn 40% bonus GTA$ on up to five Great White Shark, Whale, or Megalodon Shark Card purchases made by August 5, with GTA+ members getting an additional 15% on top through Member Shark Cards.
The Fine Art Collector program is also wrapping up soon, and logging in before July 13 locks in Enthusiast status, which comes with a free Benefactor Turreted Limo and a GTA$500,000 bonus. Completing any Heist bumps that up to Patron Tier for another GTA$1,000,000 and a NOOSE outfit, and Mansion owners who log in before July 13 reach Elitist status, setting them up for a GTA$1,000,000 discount on the Art Studio upgrade, a free Annihilator Stealth helicopter, a Sculpture, and a unique Painting once the Kortz Center Heist launches later this month.
