Drift into action with GTA Online's new car upgrades and earn double rewards and show off your skills in Paleto Bay, Rancho, and Downtown Vinewood.

Rockstar Games' return to its once-clockwork like release schedule for Grand Theft Auto Online couldn't last for longer than a week it seems. Running late once again, at the very least this week's announcement didn't delay longer than 24 hours beyond the usual time for release. The only problem is that it isn't the update everyone wanted (nor is the background update that Rockstar also just released), which we'll talk more about in a bit.

For now, let's focus on facts: GTA Online is getting three new pulse-pounding Draft Races: "Go with the Flow" transforms the typically serene Paleto Bay into a drifter's paradise, where players will need to master the art of controlled chaos. "Gang's All Here" takes racers through the narrow streets of Rancho, testing their ability to navigate tight corners while avoiding potential conflicts. For those seeking the ultimate challenge, "Buckle Down" offers an adrenaline-fueled journey from the Galileo Observatory to the heart of Downtown Vinewood, leaving a trail of smoke and excitement in its wake.

The rewards for participating in these Drift Races are equally impressive, with players earning double GTA$ and RP for their efforts. GTA+ Members are in for an even bigger treat, with the potential to rake in up to four times the usual rewards. As an added incentive, completing any three Drift Races will net players a GTA$100,000 bonus.

To complement these new races, the LS Car Meet is now offering the Drift Tuning Upgrade. Available for select vehicles including the Dinka Jester Classic, Karin Futo, and RUNE Cheburek, this upgrade promises enhanced control and style. Meanwhile, the Test Track is offering free drives of vehicles like the Vapid FMJ. Competitive racers can also aim for a top-three finish in the LS Car Meet Series for a chance to win the coveted Progen Itali GTB.

The popular Running Back mode makes a triumphant return to the Featured Series, offering double GTA$ and RP for those who participate in this football-inspired mayhem. For those who prefer a more clandestine approach to earning cash, Exotic Exports is offering double rewards this week.

The Lunar New Year celebrations also continue from two weeks back. This time, players can slither into style with the exclusive Black Snake Yogarishima Outfit or participate in Lunar New Year Stunt Races for double the rewards and the chance to earn a unique livery for the Maibatsu Penumbra FF.

Community-minded players have reason to rejoice as well, with the Community Series offering triple rewards on a variety of player-created jobs. From heart-pounding races to intense team deathmatches, there's never been a better time to explore the creative offerings of the GTA Online community.

Art enthusiasts and vandals alike will find common ground in the LS Tags event, which offers double GTA$ and RP for tagging corporate advertisements throughout Los Santos. This limited-time opportunity to leave your mark on the city runs until February 12.

Car aficionados have plenty to look forward to as well. Simeon Yetarian's showroom is featuring a selection of drift-compatible vehicles, including the RUNE Cheburek. For those with more expensive tastes, the Luxury Autos showroom is showcasing the sleek Bollokan Envisage and the rugged Canis Terminus.

For the risk-takers, The Diamond Casino & Resort's Lucky Wheel presents the opportunity to win the stylish Lampadati Komoda with a single spin.

Finally, savvy shoppers can take advantage of various discounts, including 30% off the Eclipse Blvd Garage Property, the Übermacht Cypher, and the RUNE Cheburek. The Gun Van is also offering deals on select firearms, with GTA+ Members receiving additional perks like a free Military Rifle.

With that said, the elephant in the room is Grand Theft Auto 6 and Take-Two Interactive's next earnings call. So far, we still haven't received any information about the next Grand Theft Auto title and it's starting to look more likely that we may be getting news about Grand Theft Auto V: Expanded and Enhanced and its arrival on the PC.
