DJ Khaled now joins a roster that potentially already includes the likes of T-Pain and ScHoolboy Q.

Rockstar Games' roster of Florida-based artists for Grand Theft Auto 6 continues to grow. Roughly a year after T-Pain confirmed that he'll be featured in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto title, rumors are suggesting that fellow Florida native, DJ Khaled, will join him as well.

In what has to be the least surprising news about GTA 6 that we've heard this week (or just the series, in general), reputable Call of Duty leaker @TheGhostofHope revealed that the American DJ and producer will have "his very own music station that will also play his songs."

The inclusion of celebrity radio hosts and local personalities has become a staple of the GTA series, with previous games featuring the likes of Cara Delevingne, DJ Pooh, and Frank Ocean. We also shouldn't forget that the voice actor for Carl Johnson, the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Young Maylay, is a rapper from Los Angeles, the real-life inspiration for Los Santos.

It's these collaborations that have added an extra layer of authenticity and entertainment to each open world title's immersive experience, and DJ Khaled's potential involvement suggests that Rockstar is continuing this tradition with GTA 6.

This is not the first time musicians have been rumored to be involved with GTA 6. Rapper ScHoolboy Q previously hinted at his music being featured in the game, while T-Pain, as we've already mentioned, claimed to have worked with Rockstar on the project. There was also a time when people thought 50 Cent was going to be a part of GTA 6 although we have since learned that this isn't the case.

As with all leaks and rumors surrounding GTA 6, it's best to approach this information with caution. While the source has a strong track record with Call of Duty leaks, Rockstar is notoriously secretive about their projects, and official confirmation of any game details is likely still at least a couple of months away.

If the inclusion of DJ Khaled in GTA 6 is indeed true, it does at least confirm one thing hasn't changed: GTA 6 will continue to use celebrity appearances as a form of satire instead of taking on a more straightforward approach to celebrity cameos. Maybe if this is the case, then Rockstar may want to listen to this petition and add Jeremy Perfume, who has previously lived in Miami, the real-life inspiration for Vice City, into the game.

A man can certainly hope. For now, those who are interested in knowing more about GTA 6 will have to keep up with the latest leaks, insider information, and speculation, including the latest release date theory.
