If you insist though, all you have to do is sign up at the Microsoft Rewards site, install the Bing app, do the daily quests, earn bonus points on any Xbox purchases you were making anyway, then redeem your points for an Xbox gift card and apply it to your pre-order.

Unfortunately, but obviously, this is Xbox only. It does not work for PlayStation pre-orders, which matters given how heavily GTA 6 demand is tilting toward PS5 and how much more expensive the Xbox will be by the time GTA 6 comes out.

Console Sharing

Another option is to share it with a friend you trust. On both PlayStation and Xbox, you can share one digital purchase between two accounts on two consoles, so two people split the cost of a single copy.

On PlayStation, you set your friend's console as your primary PS5. They buy the game digitally, and both of you can play it at the same time on your separate consoles. On Xbox, the same thing works by setting a friend's console as your home Xbox. One purchase, two players, roughly $40 each for Standard or $50 each for Ultimate if you split it down the middle.

The catch is that it requires genuine trust, because setting someone's console as your primary or home device gives their machine access to your digital library, and vice versa. Do this with a close friend or family member. Second, both players still need their own PlayStation Plus or Xbox subscription to play GTA 6 Online, so factor that in.
