The mystery hosts behind the recently announced radio stations of Grand Theft Auto VI have names now. When Rockstar Games revealed the first six GTA 6 stations, the DJ credits were Trick and Trina, Burna, MW, and so on. Apparently though, the real folks behind these fictional names is stacked, led by Emmy and Grammy Award-winning artist, Bad Bunny, along with Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen, Burna Boy, Robyn and members of Slayer.

When we covered the station reveal, we flagged names like Trick and Trina and Burna as likely nods to real artists and we were right on the money.

Rockstar's placeholder DJ names map to a stacked real-world lineup.

The most unexpected pairing is on Back Country Radio, where country superstar Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey team up as MW and Delta Dawne. Del Rey's role comes with a bonus, since her husband, Jeremy Dufrene, voices Mud Dog Mike, the station's roving reporter and swamp meteorologist, a job that doubles as an airboat captain, which Dufrene happens to be in real life. It is the rare celebrity cameo that is also accurate casting.

Del Rey, a longtime Grand Theft Auto player, spoke about the role in an interview with Rolling Stone. "One of the coolest things about this is the fact that the first time some of our family got to LA they actually knew the roads because of playing the game," she said, calling the chance to contribute "super special and a privilege." Los Angeles serves as the real-life inspiration for Los Santos, the setting for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto V.

The rest of the board is no less loaded. Afrobeats icon Burna Boy, pop great Robyn and thrash-metal legends Slayer each take a station. Trick Daddy and Trina on Dirty South Classics round out the six. It is one of the most star-studded radio casts the series has assembled, with each act matched to a station that fits Leonida's cultural mix.

With that said, these six stations may not be the full picture of GTA 6's final radio roster. Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a 34-track original record, arrives on launch day with songs already out and gaining millions of streams from Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, Yung Lean and Keith Richards. Wallen showing up in both places, on the album and behind the Back Country mic, is a sign of how tightly Rockstar has woven his music into the game.

So the dial in GTA 6 has become a who's-who. When the game arrives on November 19, tuning the radio will mean choosing which superstar narrates your drive through Vice CIty or jog or any free roam activity of your choice.
