The Vice City Police Department (VCPD) is the primary municipal law enforcement agency responsible for the city of Vice City in the state of Leonida, set to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. It is the main law enforcement body within the city limits and is distinct from the Vice-Dale Police Department, which has jurisdiction over the wider Vice-Dale County.
The Vice City Police Department is responsible for maintaining law and order across Vice City. As shown in the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, the VCPD plays an important role in the game, responding to criminal activity and interacting with the protagonists. Its structure and operations are largely modeled on the real-world Miami Police Department1, reflecting the series' satirical portrayal of Florida. The department serves a major urban area with demographics similar to those of Miami.
Based on initial footage, the VCPD utilizes a traditional police branding scheme. Their primary vehicle livery is a white and blue design, which is a common color combination for law enforcement vehicles. At least one vehicle variant has been observed with a more modern, retro-reflective "ghost" livery. Further details on officer uniforms, precinct architecture, and the department's official logo have not yet been fully revealed.
As a law enforcement agency, the VCPD's primary service is public safety. Their most visible assets are their fleet of emergency vehicles used to patrol the city and respond to incidents, as seen in the first trailer and the GTA VI promotional website.
The VCPD is equipped with several vehicles, as seen in promotional material for Grand Theft Auto VI:
The VCPD's jurisdiction is confined to the city of Vice City, the county seat of Vice-Dale County. While they will have a pervasive presence on the streets of the city, specific precinct locations and headquarters are currently unknown.
The VCPD is expected to be a primary antagonistic force in Grand Theft Auto VI, responsible for the wanted level system within the Vice City limits. Players engaging in criminal activities will attract the attention of the VCPD, with the department dispatching officers and vehicles to neutralize the threat.

Market Mover
Title IDs for GTA 6 just appeared in the PlayStation Store backend, the exact kind of infrastructure Sony needs before a pre-order page can go live. Rockstar hasn't said a word, but someone on their end pushed that data to Sony's systems, and the tracker who found it has a near-perfect record. With Take-Two's May earnings call needing real revenue projections to back up a $3 billion launch year, the financial clock is ticking louder than Rockstar's silence.
