Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio

The Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio is a two-seat convertible sports car introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online in January 2022. The car returns in Grand Theft Auto VI.¹

Overview

The S2 Cabrio is the open-top version of the Pfister Comet S2. In GTA Online it is sold by Legendary Motorsport for GTA$1,797,000 and seats two players. Its folding roof can be raised or lowered, changing the car between coupe-like and open-top configurations.

Design

The body closely resembles a modern Porsche 911 Cabriolet, particularly in its roofline, rear-engine proportions and oval headlight treatment. Porsche's 911 Carrera Cabriolet shows the same broad profile and roof treatment.² Rockstar has not identified it as an official influence.

The rear light treatment also shares cues with Porsche's 718 Cayman GTS.³ Rockstar has not identified either Porsche as an official influence.

GTA Online

Rockstar introduced the Comet S2 Cabrio during The Contract. It can be purchased from Legendary Motorsport and also appears in the Vehicle Recovery variant of the Security Contract.

Rockstar describes the Cabrio as light, fast and easy to drive.¹ Its handling and customization make it a road-focused sports car; exact community-tested top-speed figures can vary with testing method and should not be treated as official specifications.

GTA VI

A blue Comet S2 Cabrio appears around 31 seconds into the first GTA VI trailer, parked near a Grotti Cheetah Classic on the Ocean Drive-inspired road in Vice Beach.⁴

A white Cabrio also appears in Vice City in a released screenshot.⁵

Customization

GTA Online offers bodywork, wheel, roof and livery options for the Comet S2 Cabrio. Several liveries evoke real racing styles, but Rockstar has not published an item-by-item account of their influences.
