While you might occasionally receive the list directly on your phone from the LS Tourist Board while in a Free Roam session, interacting with the Tourist Board is the guaranteed method to receive your daily animal photography assignments.

Photo Criteria

When photographing an animal, certain criteria must be met for the photo to be eligible for submission to the LS Tourist Board. When taking a picture, ensure the animal is centered within the camera's grid and that no other objects obstruct the view.

You can verify if the image has been captured correctly by observing the prompt that appears after you take the photo. This prompt will offer you the option to send the image to the LS Tourism Board.

Tracking Progress

You can track your daily progress for this collectible challenge by opening your Interaction Menu and navigating to the Collectibles section. Alternatively, if you're near the LS Tourist Board, simply interact with it to bring up your checklist and see your progress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the time of day affect the spawning of animals?

Yes, the time of day does affect which animals spawn. For example, you may not find hens at night, but you might encounter coyotes or mountain lions. However, this only applies to a few animals, not all.

I went to the poodle location, but a pug spawned instead. Why?

The animal that spawns is completely random. However, you can often force a different animal species to spawn. For example, in Rockford Hills, you can find several different dog types, including poodles and pugs. If you don't see the specific dog you're looking for, simply drive a few blocks away and then return to the same location.

This will reset the NPCs, including the dogs, and there's a chance you'll see a different dog species. This method is consistently effective. Note that there's a possibility you might find the same dog type again, so keep trying, and you will eventually get the one you want.

I tried driving away, but I still didn't see the animal I wanted. What should I do?

If the driving method doesn't work, set your spawn location to "Last Location," ensuring your last location was the animal's spawn point. After that, switch your lobby session. If you're in a private lobby, simply join a public lobby, and the animals should spawn.

This method is applicable to all animals and works reliably every time. It has been tested multiple times, especially when trying to find Chicken Hawks and Great Cormorants.
