While the deal offers genuine value for anyone considering the service, the terms and conditions include important caveats that subscribers should understand before signing up.
For starters, the promotion runs from December 9 through January 6, giving interested players nearly a month to decide whether they want to take advantage of the offer. During this window, new or returning subscribers who purchase GTA+ through the PlayStation Store can receive a third month completely free after paying for their first two months of membership.
The current promotion specifically targets new subscribers or players who previously had GTA+ but have since cancelled their membership. This means existing subscribers with active memberships are not eligible for the deal. This stings, but is also just how recruitment promotions work.
To get the free third month of GTA+, you need to purchase your first month during the promotional window between December 9 and January 6. This first purchase starts your subscription and enables auto-renewal. You must remain subscribed and allow the automatic renewal to charge you for that second month.
