Despite completing all three Dispatch Work missions, the Neighborhood Watch event's main prize remains locked in clothing stores due to a reward delivery glitch Rockstar is scrambling to fix.
Following the launch of the Neighborhood Watch event, Grand Theft Auto Online players are encountering a frustrating bug that prevents them from claiming their earned Winter LSPD officer outfit. While players are successfully completing all challenge requirements, a reward system glitch is causing the uniform to remain unavailable in clothing stores.
The Winter LSPD outfit represents the primary reward for this week's challenge. To unlock both the uniform and a GTA$100,000 cash bonus, players must complete three Dispatch Work missions from Vincent. The event has drawn significant participation due to its straightforward objectives and completely free rewards.
Getting started requires owning a police vehicle, which means completing the Slush Fund setup mission from Vincent's Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid. This unlocks access to decomissioned law enforcement vehicles at Warstock Cache & Carry. Once equipped with a patrol car, Vincent calls with mission assignments. Players must also drop any CEO, VIP, or Motorcycle Club President status to work undercover during these operations.
The system worked fine through the mission completion phase, and players successfully finished their three required Dispatch Work assignments and received confirmation that the weekly challenge was complete. However, problems emerged when they visited clothing stores expecting to find their new uniform waiting.
Rockstar's Discord support team acknowledged the widespread reports and confirmed developers are aware of the bug. They're actively working on a solution and thanked players for their patience during the fix process. Furthermore, they've indicated that everyone who legitimately completed the challenge will receive the outfit once the issue is resolved.
The bug only affects reward delivery, not progress tracking. Players who have already finished their missions don't need to repeat them. Rockstar Games maintains accurate records of completed challenges on their servers (as well as lots of other data, often used to catch cheaters), so no progress will be lost.
Similar reward delivery issues have occurred before in GTA Online's complex weekly event system. These problems typically get resolved within a few days of being reported. Players attempting the challenge now should expect to receive their uniform once Rockstar deploys the fix, even if it arrives after the September 24 event deadline.
