Just watch Twitch streams for six hours during September's Marbella 3 event and the cash is yours, plus an exclusive racing suit at eight hours that was previously locked behind difficult challenges.
If you're tired of grinding heists and missions in Grand Theft Auto Online just to be able to afford that new supercar or penthouse, or have a chance to buy a mansion, September might be your lucky month. Why? Because Rockstar Games has partnered with Twitch to give you up to GTA$1,000,000 just for watching streams.
The promotion centers around the Marbella 3 event, a massive Spanish-language GTA roleplay gathering that runs from September 1 to 29. All you need to do is link your Twitch and Rockstar Games accounts, then watch participating streamers for enough hours to rack up rewards. it says a lot about the roleplay community if an event can draw this kind of thunder.
After just two hours of watching eligible streams, you'll receive GTA$200,000. Keep watching for four hours total, and you'll get another GTA$300,000. Hit the six-hour mark, and Rockstar will drop an additional GTA$500,000 into your account. That's a million dollars for less than a full workday of passive viewing - you can just leave a tab running in the background pretty much.
Those who stick around for the full eight hours will also unlock the exclusive Rockstar Racing Suit, a cosmetic item that was previously only available through difficult in-game challenges. With Grand Theft Auto 6 coming out next year (and marketing ramping up) Rockstar seems to be doubling down on community engagement and keeping the Grand Theft Auto Online player base happy.
It makes sense. Grand Theft Auto V was the most-watched game on Twitch last year, beating out newer titles and competitive esports games. Part of the reason for this is the roleplay community. Although Grand Theft Auto has always had a massive following, it wasn't until Grand Theft Auto V that roleplay servers really took off, helping turn the decade-old game into a constantly evolving experience.
The Marbella server, in particular, has become one of the most popular destinations for Spanish-speaking content creators, featuring elaborate storylines, custom modifications, and a dedicated community that treats the game more like an interactive TV show than a traditional video game. By incentivizing viewership of these servers with in-game rewards, Rockstar is essentially creating a pipeline that keeps viewers and players hooked to their product.
As for how to complete these rewards, all you need to do first is to link your Twitch account to your Rockstar Games Social Club account. Then, starting September 1, you can watch any participating Marbella 3 streamer. The hours don't need to be consecutive, so you can spread your viewing across the entire month if needed.
Your progress is tracked automatically, and rewards are typically delivered within 72 hours of claiming them through the Twitch Drops inventory. The cash will appear directly in your GTA Online bank account, ready to spend on whatever your criminal heart desires in Los Santos.
