After completing "Tunnel Vision," you move on to "Trash Talking," which is the final mission before the finale of the 'A Safehouse in the Hills' series , "A Clean Break."
Once again, to start this mission, look for an "A" icon on the map and answer the payphone call at that location. This time, the payphone can be found in Chamberlain Hills. Accept the call to begin the mission.
In this mission, you will disguise yourself as a trash collector to steal confidential data from the KnoWay offices. Before that, you will need to steal a Trashmaster from Rogers Salvage & Scrap. When you arrive at the salvage yard, there will be other trash collectors around the Trashmaster. They will attack you if you attempt to steal it. However, if you aim at them with your weapon before stealing the Trashmaster, they will run away, making it easier to take the vehicle. You can also melee one of the workers and the rest will run away.
When you arrive at the first KnoWay office, honk at the main entrance and the guard will open the gate for you to enter. Once inside, collect all three regular trash bags and place them in the back of your Trashmaster. This step is important, as it reduces the suspicion meter shown in the bottom right corner of your screen.
While collecting the trash, keep an eye on one of the workers at the compound who periodically moves away from the fuse box. Once he steps away, interact with the fuse box to disable the security camera that overlooks the document bags you need to steal.
After collecting the regular trash bags, the guard watching the document bags will walk away. Wait for him to leave, then make your way to the real document bags inside the small restricted area. You will see two blue bags.
Pick up the first bag while avoiding the guards’ cones of vision. If a guard sees you collecting the document bag, you will be exposed. Carry the blue document bag to the back of the Trashmaster. Repeat the process with the second bag, and once both are loaded, you will be ready to head to the second KnoWay office.
As you make your way to the second KnoWay office, the real garbage collection team will also be heading to the same location. You must stop them from reaching the office, or you will be exposed again. The easiest way to do this is to eliminate the driver of the garbage truck to disable it. Alternatively, you can shoot the truck until its health is depleted, which you can monitor in the bottom right corner of your screen when you are close to it.
Once the truck has been taken out, continue to the second KnoWay office. When you arrive, once again collect all three regular trash bags first. This causes the guard watching the document bags to go inside the building, giving you more room to move freely, reducing the risk of getting caught, and ensuring the suspicion meter is cleared.
The blue document bags can be a bit tricky to reach at this location, but here is an easy way to collect both. First, disable the fuse box in the parking lot. This will cause the guard watching the lower alleyway to move up and investigate.
After that, head down into the alleyway. At the end, you will find one blue bag being watched by another guard. There is also a set of ladders at the end of the alley that you can climb to reach another fuse box.
Climb the ladders and disable this fuse box. The guard will move slightly forward, placing the bag outside his cone of vision and making it easier to grab.
Now collect both bags one by one, place them in the back of your Trashmaster, and then continue on to the third location.
When you arrive at the final location, you need to exit the Trashmaster and approach the guard stationed at the office garage. Your character will automatically show their badge, prompting the guard to open the door for you.
Once the garage door opens, enter and collect all three regular trash bags, then place them in the back of your Trashmaster. This step is important, as the guard will not move away until all three trash bags have been collected.
After you have collected all three trash bags, the guard will leave the area, giving you the opportunity to disable the security camera by interacting with the fuse box.
Once the camera is disabled, enter the garage and hack the keypad to gain access to the office. The hacking process is straightforward. You simply need to guide the beam to the exit. It works like a classic Pac Man style mini game, where the beam moves continuously and you must redirect it to avoid the walls.
Once you are inside the office, you will encounter several guards and employees. You need to locate two KnoWay documents. First, go through the glass door and silently eliminate the employee on your left using a suppressed weapon. Ignore the moving guard for now, as you will deal with him later.
After taking out the employee, turn right and you will see two guards chatting. Eliminate both of them.
Next, go through the door on your left to enter a server room, where you will find another employee. Eliminate this employee, and you will find the first KnoWay document on the table beside them.
Then continue through the next door. Immediately to your left, you will find a guard and an employee. This is the moving guard you saw earlier. Take out the guard first, followed by the employee.
After that, turn right and you will see two more employees. Eliminate them, then collect the second KnoWay document from the table on your left, near where you eliminated the guard and employee earlier.
Once you have both documents, exit the office.
Note that we used and are describing a stealthy approach. You can also go in guns blazing, but our method is far easier, as the guards will remain neutral when you exit the office as long as you holster your weapon and do not keep it drawn.
If the guards become aggressive after you exit the office, you can let them eliminate you. This will restart the mission from the checkpoint, which begins right after leaving the office. When you respawn, the guards will be neutral again, making it easier to exit the office premises.
As soon as you get back into your Trashmaster, you need to chase down a black FIB van. Damage the van to deplete its health, which you can track in the bottom right corner of the screen. Once destroyed, it will drop the final two blue document bags that you need to collect. Eliminate the FIB agents and grab the bags quickly before the cops arrive.
This is why it can sometimes be better to let the guards eliminate you when exiting the office. If the guards are aggressive immediately, it becomes much harder to reach the van and collect the blue bags while dealing with a police chase. Shooting the FIB van will give you a four star wanted level. When the guards remain neutral, you get a small window to quickly collect the bags before the cops show up.
Once you have the final document bags, you need to lose the cops. The easiest way to do this is to drive near Avi's dead drop and wait it out. For some reason, the cops do not patrol that area. If any do manage to arrive, simply take them out and continue waiting until your wanted level is cleared.
Now that you have completed this mission, you are ready to take on the finale, "A Clean Break."
