It's no secret that San Andreas and Los Santos are primarily based on California and Los Angeles, respectively. This is why many in-game areas in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas look a lot like places in El Dorado. While this is common knowledge, it's still pretty amazing to see proof of just the lengths Rockstar Games went to recreate certain real-life locations in-game, particularly points of interest.

Case in point, a house that looks a lot like where everyone's favorite deranged GTA V protagonist lives. On March 13, 2025, reddit user u/lazybenwa posted a video of a place that looks a lot like Sandy Shores, which is where Trevor Philips' house is located in_GTA V_. In a reply, the user confirmed that the place is in Bombay Beach, specifically 2nd Street and Aisle of Palms.

It's part of the Desert Shores area of the Salton Sea in California, which appears to have served as the inspiration for the Sandy Shores area. A quick Google Search will tell you that the state of the place in_GTA V_is eerlie accurate, including how it's primarily occupied mostly by people who are into illicit activities and farmers.

So while it's definitely interesting to see Trevor Philips' place in real-life, it's probably not somewhere you'd want to visit anytime soon.
