GTA Online Is Giving Out Its Rarest Heist Loot This Week and a Major Tease for What's Next

Now that the Halloween period is over, Grand Theft Auto Online is returning to Cayo Perico with a Heist event week that guarantees players will find the Panther Statue as their primary target on their first island run. This is one of the more valuable items you can steal from El Rubio's fortress, making it a solid opportunity if you've been putting the heist off, or want a guaranteed high-value score.

If you complete the Cayo Perico heist just once, you'll knock out the Weekly Challenge which rewards you with the Strickler Hat and GTA$100,000. It's a decent bonus for something you'd probably be doing anyway.

The event extends beyond the main heist, as the Cayo Perico Motor Wars is paying 2X GTA$ and RP through November 12. This mode drops up to four teams into shrinking battle zones where you can either fight aggressively for control or play it smart and let everyone else kill each other while you survive. You can access it through the in-game blip or Quick Join feature.

If combat isn't your thing, Buried Stashes are also offering double rewards. You'll need to find a Metal Detector first by tracking down someone who looks like they partied too hard near water in Los Santos. Then you can sweep beaches for buried loot.

The Kosatka submarine is 40% off, which matters because you need it to run the Cayo Perico Heist properly. It's your mobile base of operations for planning and launching the job, so if you don't own one yet, this discount cuts a huge chunk off what's normally an expensive purchase. Other vehicle discounts are scattered across different categories - The Dinka Veto Modern and Classic, Grotti Brioso 300, and Maibatsu Manchez Scout are all 40% off. Another batch of vehicles, including the Western Reever, Truffade Nero, and Albany Cavalcade XL, are marked down 30%.
