The Vapid Stanier is a four-door sedan manufactured by Vapid set to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. As a long-standing vehicle in the series, the Stanier is known for its role as a ubiquitous civilian vehicle and the platform for numerous service vehicles, such as taxis and police cruisers, making it a staple of the in-game world's infrastructure.
The Stanier is a long-running full-size sedan in the Grand Theft Auto series. First appearing in Grand Theft Auto IV as the unnamed base model for the Police Cruiser and Taxi, it was formally introduced as a named civilian vehicle in Grand Theft Auto V. The vehicle is known for its durability and is very common. The Stanier is heavily associated with law enforcement fleets, taxi services, and everyday traffic, closely resembling its real-world counterpart, the Ford Crown Victoria.
The Stanier makes its return in Grand Theft Auto VI, first revealed through the September 2022 gameplay leaks, where it was spotted in multiple locations. Footage showed a red Stanier near protagonist Lucia on a Vice Beach road and a blue variant driving in Port Gellhorn. Its inclusion was later confirmed in the game's first official trailer, which featured a purple Stanier in a viral-style social media clip, confirming its role within the new setting of Leonida.
In Grand Theft Auto VI, the Stanier maintains its traditional full-size sedan silhouette while incorporating several modernized details compared to its earlier appearances. Leaked footage highlights updated rims bearing Vapid emblems, refreshed chrome and plastic trim elements, redesigned taillights, and a newly detailed interior. A third brake light positioned in the rear window is also a new feature.
The vehicle's styling continues to draw heavy inspiration from the Ford Crown Victoria, primarily the first-generation (EN53)1 with elements from the second-generation (EN1142), particularly noticeable in the grille and bonnet. Additional influences are evident in its design language: the headlights and rear fascia resemble the second-generation Mercury Grand Marquis3, the bumpers share similarities with the second-generation Ford Taurus (DN5)4, and the grille are reminiscent of both the twelfth-generation Cadillac Eldorado5 and the fourth-generation Chevrolet Caprice6.
In Grand Theft Auto V, the Stanier is equipped with a V8 engine that delivers strong acceleration and an above-average top speed for its class. Its rear-wheel-drive layout enables controlled powerslides, though it suffers from pronounced body roll during aggressive cornering. One of its defining attributes is its durability, as it can sustain repeated collisions without major mechanical issues, making it a dependable choice in high-impact situations.
In GTA V and GTA Online, the Vapid Stanier can reach a maximum speed of 175.42 km/h (109.00 mph) when it is fully upgraded7.
A similar performance profile is anticipated in Grand Theft Auto VI, maintaining the Stanier’s reputation as a sturdy and well-rounded sedan.
The exact methods for acquiring the Vapid Stanier in Grand Theft Auto VI have not been officially confirmed. Leaked footage and the first trailer indicate it will be a common sight in traffic and parked throughout Leonida. Notable sightings include:
In Grand Theft Auto Online, the Stanier could be purchased from Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $10,000. It was temporarily removed during the San Andreas Mercenaries update but was later reinstated.
While specific gameplay strategies for the Vapid Stanier in Grand Theft Auto VI are not yet confirmed, its historical characteristics suggest it will serve as a dependable all-purpose vehicle. Its durability and strong crash resistance make it suitable for everyday transportation and potentially as a reliable getaway car during missions.

Market Mover
Rockstar has reportedly turned its studios into an information black hole, feeding developers fake info to trap leakers. It's working so well that the biggest insiders are publicly tapping out. Will this "Iron Curtain" successfully hold back the floodgates until the Summer marketing blitz, or will someone risk their career to leak the goods?
