Naturally, the post drew plenty of engagement and just as much doubt, with replies calling it out or joking about it. Then Morgan pointed out the detail that matters. Morgan is not a random celebrity doing this for clout. She's someone already inside the Take-Two family and don't forget, basketball was one of the mini-games most prominently shown off in Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look with a collaboration with NBA 2K27 already being teased.
That connection is what makes it credible but that doesn't confirm anything. At least, not yet anyway. No screenshot of the email has surfaced. No one else has reported the same thing. Rockstar has also been famously locked down about GTA 6, reportedly skipping traditional review copies for tightly controlled, hands-off sessions.

The most likely scenario here is that this is a cross-promotional gesture. As we've already mentioned, Take-Two owns both studios. Handing a 2K host a Rockstar copy is the kind of internal perk that would raise no eyebrows. It could still be a misunderstanding though, or it's possible it's a pre-order email that she misunderstood. However, what's clear is that this isn't some random strategy claiming a Rockstar hookup out of nowhere.
For now, it is one unverified tweet, though from someone with a real Take-Two connection. A screenshot would settle it. Until then, it is a plausible claim without proof, more likely than most but still unconfirmed. If it is true, the only time we'll find out is when reviews for GTA 6 are out, which likely won't be the case until way after preloading starts on November 12.
