Complete the GTA Online Quest by August 14 to claim your animated Seal of the City of Los Santos avatar for Discord.
Rockstar Games and Discord have joined forces to offer Grand Theft Auto Online players a unique opportunity to snag a limited-time profile decoration. This collaboration comes as part of Discord's new "Quests" feature, which rewards gamers for playing their favorite titles.
The "GTA Online Quest" challenges players to log 15 minutes of gameplay in Grand Theft Auto Online while Discord is running. Upon completion, participants will receive "The Los Santos" avatar decoration — an animated design featuring the Seal of the City of Los Santos with a helicopter flying across the user's profile picture.
While initially announced for US PC players, reports since suggest the quest is accessible in multiple countries. Players have until August 14, 2024, at 11:59 PM UTC to accept and complete the quest, with the reward needing to be claimed by September 14, 2024. It's important to note that the avatar decoration will only be available for use until October 14, 2024.

To participate, PC players should open Discord's User Settings and navigate to the Gift Inventory. From there, they can accept the GTA Online Quest and then play GTA Online (or GTA V) for 15 minutes with Discord running. Once completed, the reward can be claimed through the Gift Inventory or via a pop-up notification.
One interesting aspect of this promotion is that simply opening GTA V and remaining in the main menu counts towards the 15-minute requirement. Players don't necessarily need to engage in active gameplay within GTA Online to complete the quest.
It's also worth noting that this Quest feature is exclusive to Discord's browser and desktop applications, so mobile users will not be able to participate.
This promotion is part of Rockstar's efforts to maintain GTA Online's popularity by leveraging partnerships with trendy platforms like Discord to engage its player base. While the temporary nature of the reward may disappoint some players, it still offers a way for fans to show off their Los Santos pride for a limited time.
