PlayStation users can now pre-load the Bottom Dollar Bounties update for GTA Online, with Xbox and PC to follow.
The next Grand Theft Auto Online update isn't coming until June 25. With two days still to go before the summer patch arrives, Rockstar Games is humoring players with the early release of Bottom Dollar Bounties downloads on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Sources online have spent most of Sunday sharing that the Summer 2024 update is now available for preload on Sony's bespoke platform.
According to those who have already downloaded the patch, it will take up an additional 2.526GB of space on PS5. But, since the PS5 compresses file size, the DLC will be larger on PS4 at 3.467.
There's no word if the pre-load will be released on Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One soon. The file sizes should be the same on Team Green.
If you play GTA Online on desktops, you'll have to wait until Tuesday, June 25, to get a chance to download the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties update.
It isn't unusual for Rockstar to release GTA Online pre-loads early. This is common among online games today. Coincidentally, this started in GTA Online last summer with the release of the San Andreas Mercenaries DLC, which became available for preload 48 hours before it went live.
Rockstar previously teased that it will have a sizable update for GTA Online this summer. So far, the release trailer delivers.
GTA Online's Summer 2024 update will add new bounty-hunting missions, courtesy of Maude Eccles and her daughter, Jenette. LSPD officer Vincent Effenburger is also hiring for more Dispatch Work. As last week's GTA Online weekly bonuses will last only until June 24, expect a suite of new bonuses to come online just as or even before the patch hits.
