The Pfister Comet Retro Custom is a widebody conversion of the Comet introduced in Grand Theft Auto Online and shown in Grand Theft Auto VI. In GTA Online, players create it by taking an eligible Comet to Benny's Original Motor Works.
Design
The Retro Custom reshapes the Comet with bolt-on wheel arches, deeper bumpers, side skirts, a ducktail rear spoiler and extensive interior options. Its headlights and rear lighting resemble details from the Porsche 911 type 993 and the Porsche 928.12
In GTA VI Trailer 1, the car appears with revised rear-quarter glass, wheels and rear bodywork.4
GTA Online
Rockstar released the Comet Retro Custom on December 22, 2016 during Festive Surprise 2016. The conversion is available through Benny's Original Motor Works or an Executive Garage Custom Auto Shop.3
Players must supply a standard Comet and pay for the conversion. The base car costs GTA$100,000 and the conversion costs GTA$645,000 before further upgrades, for a starting total of GTA$745,000.
Customization
The conversion supports widebody panels, bumpers, exhausts, spoilers, interior trim, seats, steering wheels, audio equipment and multiple liveries. Its value is primarily the breadth of its visual customization rather than class-leading race performance.
GTA VI appearance
The Comet Retro Custom appears in GTA VI traffic at an intersection in Vice City in Trailer 1.
Trivia
- The standard Comet is required for the Benny's conversion in GTA Online.
- The vehicle's GTA Online advertising uses retro sports-car styling, but Rockstar Games has not identified a specific advertisement or manufacturer as its source.
