GTA BOOM editorial review
Our read on this server
Editorial rating: 4 / 5
CrashCity RP is a GTA 5 FiveM roleplay server with one of the larger Discord communities in the scene, sitting at over 24,000 members and around 7,200 online at any given time. The server runs on a structured ruleset that prioritizes verbal initiation, female verification, and a Twitch TOS-aligned conduct policy that goes further than most servers in moderating language and behavior. The first thing that stands out is the two-minute interaction rule applied across the board. Robberies, kidnappings, civilian kills, and gang shootouts all require a full two minutes of in-person verbal interaction before anything escalates. Phone calls, texts, and social media don't count. For shootouts specifically, gangs need to complete two negative interactions before gunfire is even allowed on the third. This is a server that wants RP to lead the action, not the other way around. City systems are built around families, gangs, and businesses. Families cap at 25 members including the two Heads of House, must submit a full backstory and family tree, and are evaluated monthly through a four-tier system that ranges from Registered Family up to Legacy Family. Tier progression requires documented activity clips, hosted city events, and ongoing storylines that involve PD, EMS, and DOJ. Gangs cap at 30 members with their own whitelist process and required clothing pack. Businesses owners need to be active daily or have someone running the shop, with inactivity penalties starting at two days and auctions kicking in at four. Roleplay terminology is unique here. Storm means server restart, Emails means Discord, Head pop means a player crashed, and Pockets means player ID. Players are expected to use these in-character to keep OOC talk out of the city. Joining requires being 18 or older, push-to-talk only, and going through Discord at discord.gg/crashcityrp. The Tebex store leans heavily into queue priority and access perks. Instant Whitelist runs $40 on sale, queue priority subscriptions go from $50 for Crash Crew up to $400 for Crashin Out, and the 24-hour Crash Pass is $100 as a one-time purchase. Gang Whitelist costs $400, Gang Clothing is another $400, Import Chain is $250, and Gemstones for the black market store run from $50 to $400. Admin Jail Release is $50. CrashCity RP fits players who want a high-population server with strict verbal RP requirements and structured family or gang play. It's not a good fit for players who want minimal rules, casual drop-in chaos, or low Tebex pricing.
What stands out
- Massive Discord community of over 24,000 members with around 7,200 online consistently
- Strict two-minute verbal interaction rule before robberies, kills, kidnappings, and shootouts
- Four-tier family system with monthly evaluations, awards, and structured progression
- Detailed Green Zone list covering hospitals, businesses, casino, schools, and all spawn points
- Twitch TOS aligned conduct policy with strong anti-toxicity enforcement
- Three-taser rule for PD before lethal force is justified
- Custom roleplay terminology keeps OOC talk out of the city
Worth knowing
- Tebex pricing is heavy, with queue priority alone running $50 to $400 per tier
- Gang Whitelist and Gang Clothing both cost $400 on top of base server access
- 30-member gang cap and 25-member family cap can feel restrictive for larger groups
- Weekly clip submission requirement for families adds documentation burden
- Female verification system may slow down account setup for some players
- High population can mean longer queue times without paid priority
