NoPixel is a Grand Theft Auto V roleplay community. Players create characters, take on jobs and build stories with one another in versions of Los Santos that the community has reshaped for roleplay. Rockstar Games highlighted that combination of character immersion, map changes and collaborative storytelling when it announced NoPixel V.1
How NoPixel works
NoPixel is the community, not a mode inside GTA Online or the name of every roleplay server. Its players act out civilian, criminal, police and other lives in a shared world, where another player's decisions can become part of an ongoing story.1 NoPixel's established servers have used FiveM, the platform for custom GTA V multiplayer servers. NoPixel Studios maintains information about the community and its projects on its official website. Its published rules distinguish NoPixel V from its 4.0 and Public servers, which have their own reporting arrangements. That distinction matters when looking for access or support: one NoPixel project's rules do not automatically describe the others.2
NoPixel V
NoPixel V is the community's newer roleplay experience, built around Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar supported an invitation-only closed beta beginning September 8, 2026, with invited players entering through the Rockstar Games Launcher. It is a distinct access route from joining an ordinary FiveM server, and the V in its name does not mean Grand Theft Auto VI.1 GTA BOOM's beta announcement covers how that rollout was introduced; the NoPixel V page keeps the current project details together.
