GTA Online is all about reversed fortunes, or so it seems. Be it from a balancing, a story or a game mechanic perspective, often times last becomes first in this game of chance. Be it buffed or nerfed weapons/vehicles from one patch to the next, the fortunes of the player characters in Story mode or whichever way a job is going, end results rarely turn out to be what you expect.
When Rockstar announced that the Banshee and Sultan are making their way to Benny's, with the upgraded models being categorized as supers, no one expected them to topple the kings of the roads. No one expected them to perform worse than the stock vehicles either.
While both the Banshee 900R and Sultan RS were "fixed" since, getting their stats tweaked so that they actually can compete with a Progen or a Zentorno as advertised, it took quite the community outcry to achieve this. When the small-scale update first launched, an upgraded Banshee performed significantly worse than the base model with the Sultan not winning any races either.
Players contacted Rockstar over whatever channels they could and flooded all community spaces with their complaints. Rockstar remained mum over the issue, however suddenly 900Rs started overtaking their flashier counterparts. After direct questions through support tickets Rockstar confirmed that they did indeed tweak the Banshee due to the community outcry.
